Now that North Korea has targeted Austin with a nuclear warhead, I expect the demise of Longhorn Nation to come sooner rather than later. Maybe coaches should use this as a recruiting tool against the Longhorns.

Austin makes North Korea's target list

Kim "convened an urgent operation meeting" of senior generals just after midnight, signed a rocket preparation plan and ordered his forces on standby to strike the U.S. mainland, South Korea, Guam and Hawaii, state media reported. According to NKNEWS.org, Austin is on his list, along with Los Angeles and Washington D.C

Sure, why not? Hasn't Southern Miss become the premier university in the state of Mississippi?

Longhorns are more like California or New York liberals than real Texans.

I think the SEC continues to dominate college football and Texas fans will eventually want in. I don't really see the gain for the SEC besides weakening whatever conference would have got them.

You also have to consider the fact that Rick Perry is absolutely blowing up their board of regents and replacing them with ags

It could happen, but a lot of things would have to fall in place.

Never. A&M si will always be second to UT. They've had one good football season (that neted ZERO championships) in 10-15 years. Perspective please.

SMU isn't even an AAU member institution. Unless you're an AAU member you're not even the same CLASS of university as Rice, Texas, or Texas A&M. SMU doesn't belong in the same breath as the others. It's like one of those Highlights magazines for kids "which one of these is not like the others?" SMU.

It's so cute seeing Aggy trying to rationalize his existence... it's almost like watching 5 electricians sitting around the union hall talking about how awesome they are while management sits around the table drinking Pappy, smoking top of the line cigars, and laughing about their record breaking bottom line.

But... hey... don't worry, Aggy, if you do really, really good as a petroleum engineer you might get to be a manager working for an SMU or Texas alum at a company like Hunt Oil (owned and run entirely by SMU Cox School of Business alumni... largest privately owned company in the WORLD).

Or maybe if we do really, really good, we can land jobs with Saudi Aramco--the largest oil company in the world, the CEO of which is a proud graduate of...poor and oh-so-cute Aggy.

Aggy Khalid

Forbes says Aramco >> Hunt
