40 yard time may be the most overrated number in football. Every SEC team has some blazing fast guys that can outrun just about everyone else on the field at any given time... but, how often does a football player run 40 yards in a straight line? Pretty much never.

I've got the effing video paused at the exact moment he made contact and he clearly hit first with his shoulder right at or below the receiver's shoulder.
Yeah, his helmet did him, too... but, wtf is he supposed to do? Go headless horseman and take his own head off so that his helmet never hits...
