Why is everyone acting like $5 million is some absurd amount of money?

Because it is for a coach whose shiniest ring is from the Cotton Bowl

Because Texas A&M chose to pay its football coach what he's making; and unlike every other pissing contest in this conference, they didn't worry what others think or do.

You're right, I would much rather have a Texas Bowl ring.

Nothing like dick-riding a Big Ten team. I figured you were above that.

Think what we would pay a coach that won more. Money is not an object for us.

Yeah I wouldn't talk about my coach's all time record either if my coach couldn't even win the CUSA

Your coach has 2 conference wins since being at Arkansas

And I wonder why that is. Not all of us could have had a Mike Sherman roster full if 1st round picks.

If you're going to pay $5 million a year for a coach, at least do it right like Arkansas and offer that money to a proven winner like Les Miles.

He should be ashamed of himself for that 59-0 arse raping that he suffered at the hands of Saban.. He probably spent two weeks in the hospital getting his hiney repaired.... If Nick wasn't such a nice guy he could have dropped a 100 on him..

Why does anyone care what Sumlin earns?

I don't think anyone is saying that per se. It's when it's assessed in comparison to your results that it becomes absurd.

Because Sumlin was offered a job by the Philadelphia Eagles, by USC, and by Auburn - and A&M had to pay him that much to keep him. It's the market at work.
