I've seen plenty of UGA fans jerking it over Knowshon's year

I mean we're happy to see he's turned it around

What you do not see is UGA fans turning into Broncos or Lions fans en masse

True or not true I don't give a shite. I love to watch our former players succeed. My life is the same whether they do good or not however. I won't start a thread about them, but I am sure the majority of all fans are similar to me in that respect.

I love Auburn fans that didn't give a shite about the NFL now want to play with themselves over Carolina's recent success.

LIke I said earlier in this thread, it really doesn't. I'm just amused by it. I don't have anything against Newton or the Panthers.

The difference is that Cam Newton is an exciting player to watch and is one of the best players to ever play in the SEC. Auburn has had several successful players in the NFL, but none of them are legendary figures like Cam. Try to think of the mythical status of Herschel Walker to UGA fans and it may be easier to understand.

Must've been a down year for QBs then. Cam wasn't terribly special this year.

I've been reliably informed over the past two years that Cam was a bad QB because his team was losing.

Carolina is 11-4 this year.

Using the theorem I have been reliably provided over the past two years, that means that Cam is a great QB.

You cannot refute this logic. You must submit.

2. Now let's focus on Cam's numbers. He is 20th in QBR behind the likes of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Sam Bradford, etc.

You must be using that bullshite ESPN QBR stat.

Because using the NFL QB rating, Newton is 14th.

https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/stats/bycategory?cat=Passing&sort=49

Ahead of such stellar media darlings as Andrew Luck, Matt Stafford, Tom Brady, Robert Griffin III.

And that is without his rushing yards and rushing TDs factored in.

The players obviously voted with their emotion rather than objectively.

Wait wait... I was told last year that Cam Newton was universally reviled by the players because he was (supposedly) an arse at his first Pro Bowl after the 2011 season.

Now you are saying that is incorrect? That he is now universally loved?

I wish y'all would get your damn stories straight. Settle on JUST ONE please.
