He can choose to not recruit them right? So it is his choice. Nothing wrong with it. Other top problems don't have issues with 4-5 freshmen leaving each year.

My point is, can you show me one coach who purposely only goes after one or two "one and dones"? Maybe you can but my argument is that those other coaches would have just as many if they were recruiting as well as Coach Cal.

I'm not trying to state that as an excuse for him because the talent he is getting each year would be a wet dream for any coach. I just don't agree with your idea that other top tier coaches make sure they don't recruit too many one and dones.

It's all about AAU recruiting management now. Kentucky name helps a little.

For a reason. What he did at Memphis & UMass is well known.

Can I get a link to Cal's involvement in those situations? Do you even know what they are?

I don't think Cal has any issues with "getting to the handlers".

I miss the old Memphis Cal who was at most Ole Miss home games, in the Rebel Club drinking free booze with the Tunica boys and never watching the game. He would just leave around halftime and hit another party somewhere

An alum/booster at Memphis wanted to have a dinner in Cal's honor a while back & had to cancel the plans after he received so much negative feedback. And, yes, I know what happened in Memphis, have family there & big time college basketball fans. With only 12-13 players on the roster & at least 6 other bench coaches, how could Cal not know what was going on? Football coaches with 85+ on the roster are held accountable. Cal walked, taking Walls & Cousins with him; he's had 2 other college jobs & both places were hit with major NCAA violations, to the extent wins were erased & monies returned.

So, no link to where Cal either admitted to infractions or was personally held liable for them? Didn't think so.

Cal conjures up more jealous on the rant than Saban.

Because it makes him sound like he cares to helps him recruit. Only a moron would actually believe this coach speak nonsense.

So you think Cal wanted Camby to hire an agent?

lol it's not a bad thing. A lot of coaches say stuff like that, none of them believe it.

His job is to win basketball games/titles, period.

Agreed but if players view Coach Cal as a coach who gets them "NBA ready" that is going to attract more players. You can make the argument that he is purely doing it for the Wins.
