While Pressey wasn't necessarily POY material as predicted in pre-season, he's still been very good for Mizzou (last second shot withstanding). I'd argue that Pressey was the better all-around player, especially from a rebounding, assist, and defensive standpoint.

I dunno. Henderson seems to either be even or better than Pressey in every stat except for assists. Pressey would definitely be a better on-the-ball defender, which stats can't show you.

Maybe Marshall will step his game up and be more consistent next year.

Great point.

If I was to set a true starting 5 for the SEC this year, exluding Noel, it would include.

1. Pressey - G
2. McRae - G
3. KCP - G
4. Murphy - F
5. O'Bryant - F

Caldwell-Pope has the sweetest stroke, the sweetest jumper, I have seen in years. The guy is smooth as silk. A very impressive basketball player.

The AP Team will have Henderson first team I bet, the media likes dudes on bath salts.

Coaches suck at voting. Holloway is better in every stat than JOB except blocks.

On a team that won't even make the NIT. Murph got robbed.

Pressey outrebounded Henderson as a much smaller guard 103 to 96. He had more steals (57 to 43) and just going by what I saw as you said Pressey was definitely the better on ball defender. Henderson is a great shooter but I don't have any beef with him not being named first team when guys who have a better all-around game were.

I have a strong feeling that the AP will look very different.

So when was the last time they gave POY award to a team with a losing record?

UGA is 15-16 and had the SEC POY, irrelevant.

JOB III deserved it, most double doubles in the SEC. He also averaged more points and rebounds over Holloway in SEC play. Holloway should have been 1st team over Noel.

You've proven to know nothing about basketball so that's not surprising.

Holloway is shooting 55%. He's the best player on a 3rd place team. He's should've been considered for POY. He leads the league in rebounding. Top 10 in steals (for a PF).

Holloway > JOB.

Good season by JOB, though. I wish we signed his punk arse

Pressey and Henderson are 2 completely different types of players. Really can't compare them at all. Jabari Brown for Mizzou would probably be more comparable to the position Henderson plays for you guys.

Also, I would have to question Pressey's ability to defend as well. He's gotten somewhat better as the season has gone along, but for a majority of the season his defense was poor at best.
