I’ve been laughing at Kentucky and Cal for a few years now. Don’t expect me to feel like this is a big win for Arkansas. The only good thing here is the massive NIL money

That won't matter because he couldn't get it done at Kentucky anymore and now you are getting a coach who is going into his early retirement.

We downgraded by replacing a coach that had been to 2 E8s in the past 5 years with a coach that hasn’t even gotten to a S16 in the same time period, all while letting one of our main conference competitors off the hook of a 33mm albatross, at least 1 more year of subpar performance, and a bitter divorce that would have been glorious to watch and beneficial to everyone except said competitor.

If they can’t afford 33, they can’t afford 26.

I don't think a poster on here thought Cal was a Top 10 coach yesterday, maybe 15 years ago.

Cal had 1 NCAA tourney win in 5 years. Not really comparable to Saban. Bama fans are dumb.

We were counting on them not affording the 51 prior to salary. Arky didn’t just hose themselves, they hosed the whole conference. No one was scared of Cal at KY, and no one is scared of Cal at Arky. KY just became a force again

This new generation of poster sucks. Bandwagon arse fan. “BamaBravesPackers” probably used to be “BamaDodgersWarriors”

6 million a year for NIL. Our starting 5 could all be millionaires

Sorry, 3 S16s and 2 E8s. Neither of which KY has done in the last 5 seasons. Post still stands…Arky doing Arky things

Ummm…no. Have 2 degrees from Bama and lived in Wisconsin as a kid prior to moving to Bama in middle school.

A&M thought the same thing. Millionaires don’t have a lot of incentive to do what it takes to win a ‘Ship, especially with subpar coaching.

nah mot is good people. It's not often your team gets a decent pickup like Cal (relatively speaking).

1) It is well-accepted that there was widespread frustration/disappointment within the UK fanbase when it was announced that Cal would return

2) Comparing Saban to Cal might be one of the most ridiculous I've seen yet. Saban won 6 titles at Alabama. Cal has a single national title on his resume (2012). He has only 1 NCAA tournament win in the last four seasons and hasn't been to a final four since 2015. A kid being recruited today would have been less than 10 years old the last time Cal was in a Final Four.

I did but I would never have fired Saban if it was to me even if he went 0-12.
