Kindly explain to us why the call on Muschamp was a bad call, especially since Auburn had already been given a sideline warning.

Good luck.

If you have a 2 to 3 hour drive back from a Bama game on CBS, and you have Sirius, you get to listen to several SEC and other radio crews...LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, MSU, and others.

Auburn's crew is the absolute worst in this regard.

It's been explained multiple times.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I do seem to recall making you look like an idiot a few times. I see that you're not interested in trying again.

But I was gonna give the other guy a chance to explain.

Who cares? We won the Iron Bowl. Stan can complain all day. We got hosed on a few calls too. Derrick Henry made that first down late in the 4th. That spot was a full yard short. The two personal foul out of bounds should have never been called on either, the offensive pass interference on us was a joke as the AU guy slipped down and Auburn's left tackle was coming out of his stance early the whole game and got called once or twice I think.

I don't understand why someone would want guys acting like this on their broadcast.

I hate Chris Stewart's act on basketball games (it has gotten a bit better, but for a period it was nauseating), I hate Jim Powell doing it on Braves games and I really really hate Rathbun doing it on Hawks games.

I'm all for guys being homers in the Munson mold, but this kind of stuff is just laughably embarrassing. Or at least it would be to me.

Who even listens to these anymore? What fan isn't at the game or watching it on TV?

You do realize Muschamp is not the head coach? You also realize he ran 10 yards on the field to berate the refs? Maybe Malzahn doesn't get that flag, but a damn assistant can't act like that.

So you don't think WM should have been penalized for his tantrum?

A lot of people listen to football games on the radio, either while at the game, with their TVs turned down or while they are working/whatever.

Radio calls are still a big deal.

I don't know why White and Auburn fans are bitching about this...re-watched that series a couple of times and Coker was clearly tackled out of bounds and rode into the bench on Bama's sideline. I don't think it was intentionally a dirty play but that's gonna draw a flag.

Champ fricked up and compounded the penalty by losing his shite and leaving the sideline, going onto the field and proceeded to call the side judge a "fricking idiot"...after they received a warning.

Sure Stan....go ahead and send in that tape to the league office.

Exactly. But some morons still try to tell us that it has been "explained multiple times" why this shouldn't get a penalty.

And the really beautiful thing about it is that the penalty on the late hit didn't hurt Auburn. It was the penalty on Muschamp that got us into range for a critical FG.

Only bama fans would fail to recognize the holding that wasnt called by the SEC refs. That is why they are shocked when other Conferences Refs call them out in Bowl Games. It will happen again this year.

This!

Those guys obviously didn't see what I could see happening with Muschamp on the sidelines. He had just gotten a warning. Calling a ref a f.....c....with a camera in your face deserves a penalty.
The fact that Auburn fans support this baffles me...what with the God thing

Yea, Alabama was middle of the pack in penalties all season but magically the referees decided to screw Auburn in the Iron Bowl by giving Alabama an insurmountable penalty advantage of

Bama : 7 penalties, 65 yards
Auburn : 8 penalties, 62 yards

Including an offensive PI that wiped away a first down and made it 3rd and 20 inside our own 10 instead.

Real solid point Irons. Thanks for showing back up for the first time in 3 months to give us that gem.

Care to provide specific examples of when this shocking event happened in the past?

Look, everyone knows that this is what you get with Muschamp. We've all heard the Youtube clips before. This time, while it certainly wasn't the primary reason for Auburn losing, it definitely contributed to killing any hope they had for a comeback. It would be interesting to hear what Malzahn said to him behind closed doors. When you decide to hire Will Muschamp, you know that this is what you're getting.

I'm not so sure that they all do. Don't confuse message board bluster with what the majority of the fans think.
