Weird really. And patronizing, like he had some super team and had to pull his starters in the second quarter. No, Butch. You were very lucky to win that game.

He's just a walking cliche clown and always will be.

I've seen shite like that after little league games, never after a college game. It's a condescending dick move

Did he really? I flipped over to Vandy/Carolina immediately at the end and missed that.

Yeah that doesn't sit well with me. You can see why he would think he's doing something honorable but it really isn't the time or place and certainly seems to come off the wrong way, even if it wasn't his intent.

Simply indicates a low EQ on his part.

I'm sure it was well intended, but certainly not well received.

Certainly egregious. I am not sure the Butch Jones brand will recover after that gaffe.

I thought that was pretty cool of him to do. With that being said, I think he sucks as a coach. He just walks up and down the sideline watching the game. Never saying anything... Never coaching... No intensity... has no insight whatsoever in his post game interviews. I don't think he'll last long in the SEC.

Saban would never pull cap like that. It was really an effort to save face -- "You guys did something so amazing and miraculous, i was compelled to break protocol to tell you that"

Yes, he did. After the game they were all standing around and Butch walked into the middle of them and began giving a Braveheart speech. They all just stood there looking shocked.

I have no problem with it in theory, but you have to ask "would he have done that if they WON the game? And if he did, how would UT people react?"

I thought the same thing. One of them should have asked him if he would have been there if he had lost. Jones is a dumbass.

He would not. He might be the coach with the least integrity and professionalism in the SEC.

Yeah ... I thought it was pretentious of BJ as well. Kinda made me like him less, or dislike him more.

Yeah, that's the point. You don't walk over a pat a team on the head when you needed to recover a fumble in the Endzone to beat them.

I honestly can't believe he did that.

Vist locker room privately would have been better option but coach YouTube is more concerned with baseball PA playing Sweet Home than coaching the guys up. While downplaying emotions.

Coach, your mirror, use it.

Yup, dude is way more concerned with looking good and being cool than anything else. He's as transparent as can be. You would think his cheeseball cliches, nightclub weightlifting and all the other stupid shite would start wearing thin with recruits. I don't know, kids are stupid though.

I mean frick, he literally said "everything went wrong for us" after the game. What?!?! You dumb motherfricker, your lucky arse should have lost that game.

He had no business doing that. Butch is a joke of a coach and clearly only did that because he thought it'd play well for the cameras.
