Beat the shite out of? From what I remember, you won because Everett picked off McCarron in the end zone. Seems like Alabama was driving for the win and fricked it up.

Jesus. Its like you live on a different planet.

I don't necessarily agree with the "beat the shite out of" language, but you act like you didn't watch the game. Bama got knocked around in the first half.

Both LSU and Alabama were better teams last year. That's a fact. LSU was a god damn juggernaut in the RS last year. Alabama had the best college D I've ever seen.

Arkansas had a coach last year.

It's wishful thinking to believe that A&M will go the way of Arkansas, but go ahead and believe that. SEC Rant will be fun to watch.

Was going over a thread on TA, and IF both of the OT's come back, our offense will be absolutely sick next year. The incoming WR talent, along with what we have, the RB's, the OL, and of course the QB ...

If all three JR's actually come back, there will be some REALLY high expectations in CS.

I watched the whole thing, buddy. I watched A&M almost frick it up. I watched McCarron almost do what he did to LSU. The truth is that if Saban handles the last 3 or 4 plays better, Alabama wins.

So don't act like y'all killed them for Christ's sake. You held on for the win.

Uh...the point is that A&M is the new Arkansas. We've heard all this before, that's what you don't realize. The way you guys are talking now = the way Arkansas was talking then.

Win first. Talk second.

Did you not read the OP?

quote:

Two weeks or so ago, I'd heard that both were leaning to staying because Matthews' dad, former NFL great Bruce Matthews, had talked to Joeckel's family about how college is the best time of his life.

His dad wants him to stay. He has a brother to play with on the line if he stays.

Given all that evidence, I would be SHOCKED if he left.

I read the OP. What I read was an author who passed along second hand information and then read into it beyond what was there.

That doesn't mean he is staying. Think a little cardboard. The kid is a first rounder.

Well Arkansas has actually won the west before so maybe I was being a little generous?

McCarron threw an interception in the 2nd half that wasn't counted (defender's toe inbounds - heel out of bounds). If his heel had landed a couple of inches away, the game's complexion would have been entirely different - probably a relative blowout in fact.

If Aggies are being honest with themselves and their team, they will tell you that the team did really really well in the first quarter or first half of big games, but struggled after that. A&M got out to early leads in three big games this season, and blew those leads in two of the three. They are the kings of the first quarter, basically.

My interpretation of this is that teams were able to make adjustments against Texas A&M. Florida shut JFF out in the second half. LSU shut him down after the first quarter. A&M scored 20 of its 29 points against Bama in the first quarter.

The question I'd be asking myself, if I was a critical Aggie fan, is whether we will be able to take teams by surprise anymore.

My guess is no. We'll be expecting what you throw at us next time.

I know you're being sarcastic but this is a problem tamu has had longer than just this year. Always having fast starts and then you blow your wad everywhere at the end of the game. So you held on to dear life and didn't get beaten in one game. I don't see where the tamu cockiness is coming from.

2 losses by only one score each. A win over LSU or UF and they are in ATL then who knows what might happen.

Are you sure you watched the game? Alabama got the crap beat out of them in the first quarter and found themselves trailing 20-0.

They returned the favor in the second, leading to a 20-14 halftime score.

If he is speaking of 2011 I would agree. LSU and UA were probably a couple of scores better than everyone else. Outside of those two, the Hogs were as good as any I would say.

This has turned into another Aggies gonna fail, gloom and doom thread. I can't believe TiggerTooth hasn't weighed in on Aggie hate.

Arkansas had a lot of skill position talent. Their offensive line and defense have been and remained putrid. There was also the whole Petrino thing.

Hardly a worthy comparison.

Um...we did win. In T-town.

You mean win a championship? Okay. Does the same hold true for LSU next year or do you get to rely on two years prior?

I don't see how you can prognosticate that A&M will be like Arkansas for ever. We are not Arkansas for a very important reason. The State of Texas. If I have to explain, you won't get it anyway.

Uh, we didn't even know what to expect of ourselves this year - we took OURSELVES by surprise Amigo.

Next year is going to going to be very interesting with an Aggie team that has an EXPERIENCED quarterback, system, coach, etc. - the big question marks going into the 2012 season.
