Any of those big bad OOC opponents bama played since '07 ended up being a conference champion???

When you keep adding or changing your disclaimers to prove your point, it makes your argument weak.

Convenient you mention Washington but not Oregon. They went on quite a run in 2011 after getting manhandled by LSU.

No kidding, what's next. OOC true road openers,at Night in the rain and who were ranked top 10 & won their conference 3 years in a row and went to a BCS game within the last five years and had a top 25 defense and offense.

Also saw today that Saban said when HE was at LSU, he had no problem playing UF every year.

Texas A&M wasn't in the conference back then. Easy for Nick to say that.

It's not just about playing Florida either. We have to play either Georgia or USCe every year too. Bama plays the worst of the other division. SEC office full of Bama grads.

To act like this isn't an issue is arrogant and you damn well know it.

eta and at what point did the thread go from bridge scheduling within the conference to OOC openers?

Do you guys think that the LSU/UGA and Bama/UK matchups for 2013 were the result of a methodology, random picks, or someone in the SEC Office playing favorites?

I'm really not sure.. Some were saying neutral site games weren't away games, etc. As for your second question, I don't know that either..

I'm not a conspiracy theorist. So I'll keep my mouth closed until I see the schedule in 2014.

Well considering a TRUE ROAD OPENER means @ your opponents stadium. Then clem, VT and UM don't fit either.

This is total bullshite. Bama skipped UGA to play Zou. That's all that's really happened in the bridge so far. If somehow Bama plays Vandy when the 14 schedule comes out, then there's no doubt its messed up.

I wish everyone would focus on how ridiculous and half-baked the addition of 13/14 has been that we're still on "bridge" schedules in year 3. The focus on just the Bama/LSU schedules takes away from the fact that its taken 3 GD years to come up with a way to schedule with 14 teams. Maybe all the academics jokes from the B1G have some merit.

Thank you and I totally agree about the absurdity of not having a long range schedule yet. Just put one out and if something changes down the road (more expansion or 9 game schedule), then put out a new one. Going year to year just feeds the conspiracy theorists
