Only thing is he didn't play
@ clemson
@ VT
@ UM
now did he? Those weren't TRUE ROAD games OOC now were they?

clemson finished the '08 season unranked.
How bout michigan? Were they ranked end of season?

You forgot the only true OOC road game saban has played the last few seasons, penn St. They might have been ranked early but, not at end of season.

And 2005 Arizona State finished with 5 losses. Good call!

And 2009 VT finished #10 in the AP poll

KATRINA set that one up. It was set to be LSU's home opener.

So miles hasn't played a true ooc road opener either by your standards. Why is he scared of playing them?

No I'm not. An LSU fan did. He said Saban is scared to schedule them. But, by his standards, so is Miles.

Did you even read the thread?

Didn't mention VT in my reply did I? It's not like I said they finished the season unranked?

So, number of season openers vs. OOC teams on the road that finished in the top 25:

Saban = 2
Miles = 0

LSU fan claimed saban HASN"T scheduled any TRUE ROAD games to open the season.

Then someone brought up clemson, VT and michigan. Those were all neutral site games. Right?

Sorry Bama is such a brand name they keep wanting us to play in ATL and Dallas for opening day.

Lesser teams get sent to Sun Devil Stadium, I guess.

BCS conference regular season ranked opponents '07 to '12

bama - 5
LSU - 5

BCS conference regular season opponents that finished ranked top 20

bama - 1
LSU - 3

BCS conference regular season opponents that finished top 10

bama - 1
LSU - 2

Question flaker.

Any of those big bad OOC opponents bama played since '07 ended up being a conference champion???

since neutral site OOC games don't seem to have meaning for some fanbases, will we hear about how tough playing TCU will be?

That 2-0 in bama's favor is WRONG.
