Do titles have an expiration date and does LSU still count 1958?

They count a 1949 boxing championship so odds are they do.

How many years do you think Kelly has to make it to the playoffs at LSU? Two or three?

Did that person say”He can’t recruit “. Or did he say “He can’t coach “.

Which is it Sonny?

Ok. A third. He averages around 3-4 losses a year whether at LSU or at ND. Seems like Brian Kelly has more of a ceiling than ND.

If that's true then surely his predecessor or successor performed better.

He hasn't won big games.
Two of those big games be went up against tGOAT HC of CFB. How many people can say they have beaten CNS in a championship environment? The other two were Urban Meyer and Dabo Sweeney. Both championship winning coaches. Definitely not slouches. The only matchup he should (theoretically) be embarrassed about losing to was Frank Beamer and Virginia Tech. There is no excuse for that loss.

Yep. The defensive players well get from the portal after a coordinator takes over as HC at Aggy

Two tops. Then his seat will start to get warm. And he has to beat Bama at least once in the next two games.

And, Kelly recruited on par with Saban, Meyer, Sweeney.

Within the context of Cincinnati and Notre Dame, yes. But CNS is CNS. Have to respect his ability to coach CFB. Urban Meyers and Dabo Sweeney? Maybe. CNS? Nope.

Kelly produced a top ten number of NFL players at ND. That’s more than enough to beat the best.

Is it?

No one else beat those teams either.

Nick Saban has put out a ton of NFL players and he lost to 2018 Clemson just as bad as Notre Dame did.

He’s here for the duration of his contract, barring a total collapse.

Aren’t those all offensive players? I imagine they will change their mind now that the OC left. Though one is from Louisiana I think.

Recruiting isn’t a thing anymore. Sounds like he has more money to negotiate with though.

11 months is a long ways away from getting the signatures of these commits, especially in the day and age of NIL. I'm not bragging until those guys show up on campus.

Two of them committed after the OC left.

2025 recruiting rankings mean absolutely nothing at this point in the cycle. There's almost a full year to go. These classes aren't even close to finished. Top teams have 6-8 recruits committed.

Well tell me what coach is in terms of overall success right now. Kelly has shown he can compete with Saban and that's all we ask. I believe since Kelly has arrived, we will not see 8 straight years of Bama beating LSU like they did before Burrow and Co. took them down.
