Why is it such a big deal for everyone to try to change the rules already in place instead of actually finding ways to stop Gus Malzahn's offense?

Because apparently it's easier to change the rules.

But why is this particular rule so important to you Auburn fans in this thread?

Because it's about The Man trying to keep us down. Victory is ours.

But it's such a simple question and nobody has answered it. Why is this a big deal? I mean really. What is the big difference in linemen 1 yard or 3 yards downfield. I think the NFL rule is 1 yard. Up until a few years ago college rules were also a yard. All I want to know is why it seems to be a major thing to a lot of Auburn fans. I mean, I don't see LSU, UF, or UGA fans making a big deal out of it.

They are some of the ones who were making a big deal about the rule being changed, and how it would render Gus helpless, just a day or two ago.

How would this rule affect Malzahn more than any other coach?

His dick is 5 feet long and could be called for a weapon on the field.

Ask everyone that is convinced that Auburn would crash and burn with such a rule change.

Why would it impact Auburn more than other teams?

From what I gathered the article said it won't be in place for the 2015 season and needs more discussion. My guess is it will be priority now for the refs to look for it. If they can't then it will probably be put in place for the 2016 season. This might have been said, but like I said before. I'm not reading all that to find out.

I'll answer your question if somebody, anybody, will answer my very simple question rather than spinning and joking around.

I don't need the rule changed. I don't even play or coach.

Now answer mine. Why is this particular rule important to you Auburn fans in this thread?

Most of the bitching about OL downfield are Bama fans, who think it is only a HUNH issue. The issue is about Officials dictating the game with the flags. It can be called on every pass play if it was changed in the college game. The pros have it, but they are very selective on when they call it. I do not think Gus and Co trust SEC Officials to be as unbiased as NFL Officials.
