Mark Richt has lost control of...Mark RIcht.

I do think he's a good coach and a very good developer of QB's. I just think the culture of the U wore on him as it is against his principles and morals to condone or ignore all the shenanigans that go on down there like Perry posting that video. Adios Coach Richt, take a year or two off and maybe you'll feel like jumping back in.

If he said that, I doubt it was in those words. Though it's natural for a hot up-and-coming coach to be a bit miffed that he can't even get an interview. That gives a pretty good indication of their opinion of you.

Diaz just took the Temple job.

I'm not even sure Diaz is a good coordinator, much less a head coach.

Cristobal has allegedly told people the only job he'd leave Oregon for is Miami. And, while Oregon has a good class this year, Cristobal can put together top 5 classes in his sleep at Miami.

Cristobal is building Oregon, and has one of the top QBs returning. He would be crazy to leave and jump into a dumpster fire.

Miami isn't a "dumpster fire" if you can recruit.

Maybe, maybe. I'm frowning in thought, not disagreement here. I'm honestly not sure the U can ever regain its U attractiveness now that everybody is watching for violations. The NCAA might not have slammed Miami as hard as the Canes deserved, but they certainly made it clear they were watching. That's a huge reason why Richt got the job so easily. Since it's still a small private school with a fair-weather fanbase, without the lawlessness, it's much harder to sell now.

They have no QBs and no OL. They are 3 years away from even sniffing 10 wins in the pathetic ACC. I don't think you realize how bad that roster is right now.

Yep, this is not an Urban Meyer like situation, he in all likelihood is done and is going to move on to doing missionary work or helping in building churches.

All the U fans I know wanted Diaz to replace Richt, so I'm sure they're gonna be pissed about this.

Brent Venables is my guess.

Haha!!

Venables is right where he needs to be. The guy's about to blow an aneurism on the sideline as a D.C. Imagine him with the responsibility of a head coach trying to maintain an even keel.

Even better..imagine him dealing with big money alums.
