Both Bohannon and his buddy might combine for a single digit IQ.

He then attempts to place a 100,000 dollar bet on a regular season college baseball game which the sportsbook find odd and declines. Neff in an attempt to place the bet pleads with the worker of the sportsbook outright telling them he has an inside source on the bet.

The cameras at the sportsbook are so good they can actually read Bohannon's name on Neff's phone as this is happening.

fricking genius level to use an encrypted messaging app and then show your hand to the folks at the sportsbook.

At least cut them in for a big percentage if you are going all in like that. Though I have to think most sportsbook employees would be smart enough they couldn't possibly get away with it because even the max bet of $15k would have eventually raised questions. Nobody bets that much on regular season college baseball.

Also, the pitcher Bohannon scratched about an hour or so before the game is now pitching for LSU.

I missed that detail.

Good on the NCAA for actually getting it right for once. IIRC Bohannon was accused by Bama fans for throwing several games earlier in the season before the LSU series. Bama had a good squad. Can't help but wonder how good of a season they would've had without him manipulating. They went on a run after he was shown the door.

He informed his friend of the scratch before he informed LSU or basically anyone else

it was pretty obviously deliberate

Wasn't Holman a healthy scratch by coaches choice and Holman was pissed?

Yeah Bohannon should from Baseball at any level, dude is a damn idiot.

That is true. Go back and watch some of the games earlier that season. He refused to send runners that should've easily scored and it cost Bama several games. It was noted in the in-game threads.

Did it ever come out that he had a gambling problem and / or had been gambling for while? This couldn't have been a one time happening.

Interesting, I thought an SEC baseball coach would make $1mm+. Women's basketball coaches make more than him, no wonder hes trying this

A gambling problem is when you can't resist the urge to lay money down on the thrill of chance.

This is a criminal problem, or at least a moral one, altering outcomes for profit. He wasn't gambling, he knew.

Yeah, $100,000 on a college game WON'T be a red flag.
