this isnt that complicated to understand brah one doesnt need actually vote to have an impact with rule changes.

Our government makes changes without a vote all the time, not sure how this is a new concept.

The thing is when your coaches got together and passed the Saban rule ( no recruiting extended dead period), because they were a bunch of lazy SOBs, Saban decided that at his first chance he would open a large economy size of payback .
The REC and CNS says FU little bitches.

Saban was the kid that lost a game on the playground and took his ball home with him so no one else could play.

Auburn fans blame Saban on everything much like the liberals blame Bush.

He is the most powerful man in the game. Every rules that is changed must be given the go ahead by him.

Anyone who wants to change this into a rule is a damn fool. Did we outlaw the slot receiver when they started becoming effective? How about the pass catching tight end? Or kicking with a holder? Or hell even the forward pass? This is such a knee jerk reaction

Im completely indifferent to it. It will have a very minimal affect on actual games.

I don't think anyone is saying Saban is in an uproar in these meetings

but the fact that he has mentioned it in the past and is in the meetings is all you really need to know

it's pathetic

I also don't want to sound like a typical Lsu idiot, but it seems very weak for Saban and Bert to complain about something like this.

Considering he didn't vote on it or "campaign" for it kind of ruins your point

Yup, and he did so before the season even started (or close to that time).

He knew what was coming with Auburn and Texas A&M, I guess.

After last year coming off a national championship, I am still waiting for a quote from this offseason. Besides he never said anything about making a rule change. His comment was about player safety.

If I recall correctly Saban's most recent comments on this was that he sees it as a trend in college football and that he believes Alabama should maybe try speeding up.

Im still trying to figure out how answering a reporters question honestly is campaigning.

I guess when you are as powerful as Saban that counts.
