You realize according to your logic in the first link. Texas is a better gig than Bama. And Michigan and North Carolina are better gigs than Auburn and Oklahoma.

The second link would have Penn St, Michigan, & UTk as better gigs than Bama.

And the Third has Texas and Wisconsin as better gigs than Bama.

SO based on your logic Texas > Bama.

I think with the likelihood of an SEC team getting into the playoff money every year and the windfall that is the SEC network, almost any SEC job is going to be considered in the tops of the country. His points regarding OM and MSU vs the recent history at Michigan were valid. Who would really want to go there (unless someone is willing to tell Lloyd Carr to sit down and shut the hell up)?

Arguably the top job in the country.

Based on what? Perpetually being mediocre?

How about we post an actual relevant link?

https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/

Guess what two teams are above Meechagan. Guess what two teams will probably be in the top 20 after the new contracts.

Texas is still a top-5 program.

I only slightly disagree. Its still a top job, but its not top 5 IMO. All that money and facilities doesn't seem to be helping them much.

People keep chalking that up to the coach, but im still waiting.

claiming Mississippi State is a better job than Michigan and that Ole Miss and Hail State are Top 20 jobs.......

Even funnier was when he said the cold weather would keep Mullen or any other SEC coaches from going to Michigan, money don't care about cold weather.

There is absolutely one way that the Mississippi schools will never be able to compete with Nebraska and Michigan.

Yeah, well, I've lived in a place where there was snow on the ground from mid-October until April. Don't be so sure.

They control an entire conference. Their problem is just like Michigan.....the old fricks making the decisions need to realize that this isn't 1980 anymore.

Nebraska has a very nice stadium and had a run in the 90's, but the program has been down and out for years. Nebraska has been members of two weak leagues. Nebraska, in its current form, would go 2-5/3-5 in the SEC west, most years.

I can't believe that caller even mentioned Colorado in the mix.

They both play in glorified high school stadiums. They are both out recruited annually by their conference opponents. They have had no real national success, I mean neither has won the SEC since JFK was President. They are not top 20 jobs.
