Who cares? This is a forced issue by the media.

This. He had like 4 or 5 passing Td's from what I remember. Probably more than Kiehl has

Then don't post in the thread. It's not that hard.

it you rephrase this, it would not be a racist comment. how about "it seems they haven't done as well" or something that is not a generalizaton indicating that black qbb's aren't as good as white qb's. i admit the op lends itself to racist comments. it is exactly the same as saying white WR's don't tend to do as well. it also is a racist comment.

Yup.
I miss Ryan Swope already

I'd honestly like to see a comparison to the other BCS conferences. I'm willing to bet the SEC is probably more diversified.
If I miss any more work this next week I may take this on.
To your point, I played on my first youth football team in 1983 (South Roebuck Eagles baby!) and we had a black QB. In our league there in Birmingham, it was a common occurrence. If I had to guess, it was probably less so outside of the southeast.

I really think he was a great deal of Manziel's success last yr, with his ability to break routes and get open. I think it'll show this yr.

Pookie Jones 1993 at UK...took us to the Peach Bowl.

Swope was a beast, but he was always that way whether it was manziel, jerrod johnson, or ryan Tannehill throwing to him.
That said, look for Mike Evans (also a freshman last year) and Ricky Seals-Jones to wreck shop this year. Also, Malcome Kennedy (caught the game winning td @ Bama) is probably the best we had at finding the open spot when JFF scrambles (better than swope).

I know, we're talking about the most recent.
In '06 our QB race consisted of two black QBs between Andre Woodson and Curtis Pulley.

Yeah, you guys got some talent waiting to sit in. RSJ is going to be a monster, but Manziel was really in an ideal situation last year. Joekel and Swope aren't going to be replaced that easily.

Don't forget JaQuay Williams.

Mississippi State probably has had more black starting QBs than anybody in the SEC over the past 25 years
Auburn would like to disagree. We have had a shite ton of black starters

It was Swope that killed Bama though. He had 111 of Maniels 253 yds passing, one TD coming off a broken route and converted 4 first downs from 3rd and longs.

Oh I know. Sorry wasn't trying to imply that anyone was more of a Bama killer than Swope last year. Just that there won't be a very steep drop off. Jmo, though.
