Texas A&M - 2008 (TbirdSpur2010)

Jerrod Johnson started the first 7 games of 2010 before giving way to Tannehill. He was our starter all of 2009 as well. In 2008 our QB was Stephen McGee who while kinda tan, wasn't black (JJ started 2-3 games due to McGee injury though). The correct answer is 2010.

For some reason I read that as per Tbird. I went back and reread and realized what he was really saying

looks like the stats tell the story of bama/saban being racist while les miles is the antiracist.

I know he started the first game of his true freshman year, but he was splitting time with Ainge. Ainge was the starter before the ND game, so, 3-4 games? He did something that made even Fulmer run him off after that.

Mississippi State - 2011 (Chris Relf)

Are you sure it's not Wayne Madkin? I swear it feels like that guy played at State for about 45 years.

You could almost add Darren McFadden.

Tyler Russell 2012-13.

Mississippi State probably has had more black starting QBs than anybody in the SEC over the past 25 years

I'm curious as to why race matters?

Yes, Nick Marshall will start this Saturday against Washington State. Also, behind him are two more black quarterbacks in Jeremy Johnson and Jonathan Wallace.

Matters to whom? If you mean most fans and coaches, it doesn't matter at all. There is a segment of the public and media that does care, however, and will take the right opportunity to make it an issue. I was just curious how vulnerable our teams were to that criticism.

It looks like they'll have to go after USC long before they take a shot at any SEC schools.

I'd honestly like to see a comparison to the other BCS conferences. I'm willing to bet the SEC is probably more diversified.
