Does anyone know the name of the restaurant on 280 that has country cooking? I really liked that place but cannot remember the name of it. It may not even be there anymore.

It's not Lloyd's. Seems like this place was in a shopping center if I remember correctly.

these guys are coming down from nova scotia...they need to experience a little bit of everything b'ham has dining wise. and it sounds like they want to get a feel for the city/region. places that are unique to birmingham.

a couple of the nicer high end places for dinner, cool/funky/interesting bars for afterwards, great, southern, down home restaurants for lunch/breakfast and a a good barbecue place.

don't live in the south anymore, so y'all take over and help them get their magic city trip organized.

Dale's? Across from Doug Baker Blvd. If you go there hit City Vineyard afterward. You think wine, but one of the best beer selections in AL.

We need a Rick's BBQ down here like in Florence and the Shoal's area. I like it alot better than Jim n Nicks. Is there a Johnny Ray's around anymore? If so, I'd go there and get their Lemon Pie for dessert.
