Bigger Bama-LSU Ref screw up - Williams catch or PP7 interception

Which was a bigger screw up by the refs in a Bama-LSU game. The 2011 Mike Williams catch that was ruled an interception or the 2009 PP7 interception that was rule an incomplete pass.
2009
Both hands on the ball with toe in bound.
2011
Both hands on the ball with entire body on the ground.
I say the Williams catch was a bigger missed called. Happened in the most important game of the year.

One was the correct call and the other wasn't. Not that hard.

Agreed. The Williams miss call was way worse. Especially considering Patrick was out of bounds anyway.

looks to me that williams was still struggling to take that ball in (meaning he didn't have full control) before he hit the ground

Williams didn't even have possession throughout the catch. That's pretty obvious

His hands are touching the ball, but Reid has the lion's share of possession when they hit the ground. Refs called the exact same play the opposite way in the infamous Green Bay-Seattle replacement refgate and the entire world exploded in outrage that it was the wrong call. If anything it's a judgement call, whereas the Pat Pete interception is 100% indisputable fact, they just didn't have the guts to overturn it

The Reid interception can only be made to look like a catch with photos. Slow motion video clearly shows an interception. Nice try, though.
