How long did it take Petrino to turn it around after the Nutt Era?

Took him just a few years shorter to run it in the ditch. Bielema is twice the coach Petrino is, it's not even close

Same trajectory. First year was bad, second better with bowl win, third 10 wins.

Bielema's first year was bad, second better with bowl win, last year he had a very solid team but the season was derailed by an unbelievable number of injuries.

Arkansas had a bumper crop of talent that comprised Petrino's first class. Most had been committed to Nutt, and they fit CBPs offensive philosophy perfectly. He also had Ryan Mallet fall in his lap.

Arky fans like the OP are like Tenn fans without the history to somewhat support your delusion.

Keep in mind, CBP took over a program that won 8 games the year prior and 10 the year before that. Bielema took over a train wreck, and a roster full of holes.

Yeah Freeze taking a 2-10 team to winning the Sugar Bowl in just 3 years isn't that big of an accomplishment.

I would say closer to three times the coach.

Petrino could win with smoke and mirrors while Bret needs SEC quality players and solid physical football. The truth is that Bret has not had enough players throughout his roster just yet, but he is just beginning to get there. He hasn't made any real noise just yet in this conference but with the roster he is building we will soon learn if he really has it or not. The ball is now in his court. I feel like things are beginning to get interesting.

Absolutely agree. It's very impressive when a coach is able to get back to back six win seasons at a program like Arkansas.

Including in back to back vs. LSU.
