Texas A&M, as much as it pains me to say. They are far better supported financially. And as we all know, that is all that matters these days.

They have a great coach. I'm not sure about best in the Big12, though. I think Briles might have a legit argument there.
If anything this makes Patterson seem more impressive. From 4-8 to knocking on the playoff door in one year is incredible. And they're starting off the year ranked #2 or #4, depending on who you ask. Whether this is sustainable is a whole different question. For now, I'm all for TCU and Baylor beating the crap out of Texas and stealing recruits who would otherwise be Texas locks. Personally I think A&M will surpass them soon and stay there for a while. If not this year then 2016.
For anybody who wants to read about old-time TCU football back when everybody knew who TCU was, this is an excellent SI article. Frogs vs. Jim Brown. Made more excellent because it features my uncle Frank .

No, it would return to normal. A place where we used to have decent conversations about football. Aggies have turned the SEC Rant into trash. It's dang near impossible to find anything good to read here since you came along.

TCU, Baylor, and Texas all are better programs than aggy

Gary Patterson makes them a better team in my opinion.

That statement was pure brilliance!

All That may be true but TCU is still in better shape bro...

Baylor and TCU were both better teams last year, but not by as much as the record makes it seem.
Trajectory is a funny word. Tcu doesn't have a whole lot higher to go, they absolutely have to go undefeated to make the playoff because they play a little league schedule. Even then they would likely get boat raced by a complete team. Ole miss was probably a better team than TCU most of last year. If TCU plays the whole SECW division fhey likely look a lot different come bowl season. TCU was a trap game for OM. Rebs lost key players and their will to fight, TCU got snubbed on the playoff. It was a perfect storm.
Baylor and TCU are both 100% dependent on their current coach. If either were to leave, that program falls into the abyss.
Whereas A&M is trolled that their coach isn't good enough for their program. Our recruiting, fanbase, conference, facilities are all several tiers above the others.
It's like asking a year ago who has a better trajectory ucf or Florida. Well shite, bortles is gone, boom is gone, who wants to make bets about their future?

In their last 25 tries TCU is 0-25 against the Aggies.
We've heard the bogus horned frog hype too many times.
And shame on Hugh Freeze and the black bears for letting those TCU headhunters intimidate them.
You aggies sure like to leave out the part about how A&M hasn't played TCU since 2001. And of course when you have played TCU in sports since then, you get beat like in baseball.
The truth is if TCU and A&M played each other for the last 10 years or so, TCU would have won 75% of the contests.

This is the same thing that was said about Oregon. It might be true, it might not, Claiming certainty in either direction is ridiculous. Briles' son is now our OC, there is certainly a reasonable hope of continuity for Baylor.

I have heard the TCU hype so many times I am immune to it.
You are what your record says you are. 0-25.
I hope we can get matched with you in a bowl game because you are just a souped up SMU.
In 2013 you were 4-8 in a shite conference with the same Coach you have know.
Doesn't your team have a board? Nobody here gaf what you think.

On paper it should be tamu. They have the resources, support, and conference affiliation that outweighs TCU. But they've been trending down since 2012 and this year the West is loaded and there will be uncertainty at QB (youth, limited experience, and the possibility that a true freshman might have the higher ceiling but not be able to command the offense as well as the returning starter--a la LSU 2014).
If Sumlin can piece together a solid season--9 wins would be acceptable--then tamu will be on a better track. But Patterson has shown he's one of the best coaches in CFB as well and the road to the CFP is a little easier with OU being the only legit powerhouse in conference and Baylor still trying to show they have staying power.
Short term then, TCU appears to be better off, but if Sumlin can finally excel with a roster made up of only "his" guys, tamu has a far higher ceiling and a better trajectory.

No one that knew what they were talking about said that. Modern Oregon is a story of how a booster tied to a very trendy brand used both money from that brand and the brand itself to jump a few rungs in the college football pecking order. Until Phil Knight dies they will be a contender. His is like a cool T Boone.
Your Baylor butthurt is really showing right now. Enjoy your Big 12 Championships and recent success while they last.
