I think the 2nd game last year had around 4-5 million viewers on ESPN alone, and that's not counting the people in NC who watched the game on CBS instead. Auburn-Alabama had about 13.5 million viewers last year.

Yes. People that actually attend Carolina and Duke are classy. Alabama and Auburn, not so much.

It was 1991, but in all fairness I also got into KU, Bama, UGA, and Utah (I was all over the board).

This is mostly right. Carolina, just like Bama is 85/15. How can you tell a group of Carolina alums from a group of Carolina fans? The alums don't have a sock between them, and the fans don't have a tooth.
That said, I'd say a lot of Duke alums are weird as shite and not necessarily classy. Maybe because of their New Jersey backgrounds.
