Better rivalry: Iron Bowl or Duke/Carolina?

These are the two greatest rivalries in North American sports IMO. Which is the greater rivalry? I think Duke/Carolina is the only rivalry that has the Iron Bowl beat. Carolina/Duke are two in-state schools who hate each other but there's usually more at stake when those two play compared to Bama/Auburn. I wish Bama and Auburn played more often with both schools at the top of their game. Unfortunately, years like 2013 are rare occurrences.

Duke/Carolina has far more at stake considering all of their grads find high-paying, important jobs after graduation.
You Alabama and Auburn dumbasses just become foresters, shitty insurance salesmen, etc.

There's almost always going to be more at stake on a regular season college football game than a college basketball game because of how the postseason and schedules are structured. Duke UNC is a better rivalry though

How do you figure? Bama/Auburn combined have less football nattys than UNC/Duke have bball nattys. Both Duke and UNC are bball blue bloods. Both in the top 6 all time programs in NCAA history. Only gumps fit in to that football category.

Duke/UNC is a great rivalry but it does not have nearly the passion that the Iron Bowl has.

It's not a better rivalry. It's this cute thing for Duke and Carolina grads to needle one another about. There's not a huge amount of genuine animosity. Honestly, State hates Carolina more than Duke does.

Please please please please tell me you think Carolina fans are classy. It's a really similar fan base to Alabama, they just care (and attend) less.
