I can't believe no one has mentioned the 2008 Auburn vs Ms. State game.

Any game that ends in a 3-2 score has defensive battle written all over it.

Teams with very good defenses and pathetically inept offenses is not the same as a legendary defensive battle.

9-6 disagrees.

Any idea what those two teams averaged against all other opponents that year? The fact that you would post that score is exactly why you don't understand. Good defenses hold mediocre offenses to 3-2. Great defenses hold very good offenses to 9-6.

1999 Ole Miss 3 Memphis 0. True story.

That was just a sloppy game. Both offenses wanted to do nothing more than hand the ball to the defense.
I got in for free, and swear I overpaid

Go back and suffer through the "highlights" of that one. We both could've left our defenses on the sideline and it still would've ended 3-2.

LSU-AU in 2006 IMO. The hardest hitting game I think I have ever seen. Also one of the most intense games I have ever seen.

I actually agree with this.
