All we need now is for TnM to add his two cents.

TnM and Auburnphan are my two favorite posters on this site. Always bringing the pain. Always getting bites. I refuse to believe they believe anything they post.

(but not by much)

edit: Now if you're talking strictly records and numbers as your criteria, you could make a case for Alabama.
If you're talking tradition, fan base and following, stadium, alumni in the majors, post season appearances, Coach Polk, etc. - it's State....but again not by too much....
They're almost equal. Bama went to the finals in '97, State very recently. State's been to Omaha more times, but that should not be the sole criterium....

Pretty-much agree with this.

Then there is simple perception ... Miss State is perceived to be the better baseball program by most - and perception is usually reality, like it or not.

Alabama
5 CWS appearances
14 SEC titles
7 SEC tournament titles

Auburn
4 CWS appearances
6 SEC titles
3 SEC tournament titles

Mississippi State
9 CWS appearances
10 SEC titles
7 SEC tournament titles

Do you get hardware just for making the CWS?

I think TnM does, sadly.

Let's just overlook those SEVEN conference tournament titles, right? That's SEVEN since 1980. And second only to LSU. It's only been held since 1977. And for the majority of the late 1940s, and 1952-1985, there wasn't a regular season title. It was a best of five or best of three series among division leaders.

Yeah I go woth bama.

Up until 2009 Bama had the most tournament titles. Then LSU slapped the gumps' dicks in dirt and won the title 5 times including 5 of the last 6 years.

With 4 more CWS appearances, 11 more tournament appearances(according to Wiki), I would say MSU. Though, it is close, but even in a tie, I would give the edge to State due to Ron Polk.

I have a friend who lived in Omaha who is not a baseball fan nor is he connected to LSU in No way, LSU fans are by far the most liked. LSU is the only team people there talk about, love our fans.
He told me some hotels do not take reservations until LSU are eliminated.

Now you can talk about any other team but this is from an independent person. Who lives there
