Hey it could be true. But if those unit rankings are true then we might be looking at an all-time dominant team in LSU. (I would have LSU as #1 in the country right now as well.) Maybe I'm giving too much credit to teams outside the SEC but of the 6 unit groupings he ranked he has the SEC filling 12 of 19 spots I think. And the SEC has the #1 spot in 5 of the 6 units. I know the SEC is the clearly the best conference, but I'm not sure it's THAT dominant over the rest of the country as a whole.
I'd say the SEC has the best of each defensive unit, Bama's got the best O-Line, Arky has the best back field because you've got the second best QB in the nation and if healthy a top 3 RB in the country.
I'd give AU or LSU the best Special Teams unit. USC has the best WRs. Bama has the best Coaching Staff.

If you don't think Arky has the best backfield in the country please tell me who then? Also name a better stable of RB's than LSU's.

I'm going to agree with AMM AU9893 and say that Clemson deserves to be on the list above West Virginia. Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins, and Martavius Bryant, and Jaron Brown make up a really good 4 wide-out set. USC could be dangerous when they go 4 wide, so as of now I have them tied with Tennessee as the #1 wide-out corp. Cordarrelle Patterson could put Tennessee over the top if he's as good as expected.
Speaking of USC, I was just looking at their depth chart, and I don't see Kyle Prater. If he's not at USC anymore imagine what their corp could look like right now. Markieth Ambles, Kyle Prater, Robert Woods, George Farmer, and Marqise Lee. Talk about some talent out wide.

Monte Ball loses his QB. Danny O'Brien =/= Russell Wilson.
Wisconsin lost two linemen & wideout Toon to the NFL, Are you are basing the Badger love on last year's squad ?
Note O'Brien the 2010 ACC freshmen of the year got benched in 2011 @ Maryland

Gary Crowton strikes again...

Go for it
I doubt Ball has the same year without Russell Wilson
I do not understand how the single Ball makes Wisconin the best backfeild unit in the B1G let alone the nation.
THE B1G's best is Michigan with Robinson & Tousaint

Maybe I'm biased but I really think they do
and it's either LSU or AU for Special teams so give us one more...

I just named one better for next year Robinson & Tousaint > O'Brien & Ball
But what would I know I only watched BIG TEN football
Second would be Martinez & Burkhead @ Nebraska

Wisconsin always has a great run game, but last year's 'great unit' with Wilson @ QB was the exception rather than the rule

Davis was 1st team all SEC before his injury. Wilson is the best QB. so Best QB and Best RB doesn't = best backfield?
Our FB is also probably top 3 in the SEC. Hopefully our OL can put it all together.
