Bama will have the best secondary. Jackson was the best safety in the league last year and we'll have 4 5 star cornerbacks on the field in dime

I'd say Adams is higher on the draft board actually.

At Cornerback LSU has

1) Tre White 5 star
2) Kevin Tolliver 5 star
3)Donte Jackson 5 star
4) Savion Smith 5 star
5 Kirston Fulton 5 star (Hopefully we add him tomorrow)

Safety
Adams 5 star
Monroe 5 star?

Both secondaries will be elite. You have Saban coaching your DB's and we have Corey Raymond. So coaching is about on par secondary wise.

Yea, there really isn't any reason to slap fight about it. Both will be very good.

So not true.

And Jamal Adams will be the best safety in the SEC and it's really not close. Tolliver + White + Jackson + Fulton + Smith will be the deepest group of CBs in the country also.

Not sure why y'all are laughing at WR for LSU. He is saying best group, not who will pass the ball the most.

Bama defense could legitimately be the best at all 3 levels.

Johnathan Allen returning was huge for Bama's D-line as he has was the best of the bunch last year. Better than Ashawn and Jartan Reed. Tomlinson, Payne, Hand will round out a talented and experienced group hlwho have produced big.

Bama has ridiculous outside linebackers this year with Tim William and Rashuan Rashaun Evans. Ruben foster back in the middle. Not to mention the LBer class they are signing.

Bama started 3 freshman last year in the secondary and had the second best secondary behind UF. Eddie Jackson will be back for his 2nd year at safety of while Marlon, Minkah, and Ronnie Harrison will all make huge jumps in their 2nd year.

Hey, don't use me as an example. We will be objectively good at those four position groups. Why don't you counter with a position unit from a different team?

(a) he didn't name every position group, he named 4 of them (out of 7)

(b) Which one of those do you do disagree with? We will be very good at OL/DL/WR/DB. We've won 4 of the last 7 national championships, we return most of our OL, tons of talented NFL DL, all of WR and all of our DBs. How is what he posted homerish at all? If he had said we are the best at RB and QB? Yea, that'd be ridiculous.

Do you live in reality? We are really, really f'in good. We will be really, really good next year. The Shula era is long over. How do you not understand this yet?

How the frick did LSU lose so many games if they have the best position units in the SEC?

You can have great athletes and lose because of poor game planning. When playing other teams in the SEC that have just as good of talent (first 22 at least) you can't just expect to run right through them the entire game. opposing defenses/offenses tend to scheme to try to take away an opponents strength...if a team has a physical dline and lb's they can handle lsu up front. Football is a simple game...especially when CLM is the opposing coach.

One of those three is not like the other two.

Isn't rushing for a 5 ypc avg acceptable these days? Especially against a top level SEC opponent.

For the game LSU out rushed and out PASSED the rebs.

For the '16 season bama and arky will be LSU's two biggest challenges.

hawgs lose most of their Oline, top three RBs, best TE in SEC and QB.

Return almost the whole "D".

Like LSU's chances.

bama/LSU is still bama/LSU. Chances are one score game.

Someone mentioned something about starting center moving out to new position at LT. All five LSU starters last season were playing a different position than '14. You put the best five on the field at whatever position they fit in.

As for LSU's starting front six on "D" (started almost every game in nickle) tigers return five starters. It's easy to assume better play.

Flip those to Bama and then you'd be closer.

It is considered solid, but it isn't considered BEST EVER material.

Nobody is saying they won't be better, what we are saying is that it is laughable that LSU folks have all of a sudden determined that those two groups are "the best in the SEC".

OL- Bama. Best LT in college football.

DL- LSU. Bama lost their 2 studs in the middle. LSU brings back Key, Goudchaux (sp?), and Neal.

WR- LSU. let's ignore the QB play. This is based on talent
alone.

RB- LSU. Fournette & Guice. Easy.

DB- LSU. Forget the 1st round pick in White. Jamal Adams is the best safety in college football. I personally think Tolliver is a better pure corner than White.

LB- Bama.

QB- Ole Miss

Coaching- Bama. And it ain't even close.

I think LSU has the most talent, but Saban makes Bama the favorite.
