Chubb is 100 yards away from passing Gurley for UGA's all-time rusher list at #2

Gurley was still the better back. Take out the suspension and injury, and I don't think it'd be close. Even if Chubb himself hadn't been injured.

All are average or bad today.

Real answer is

Adrian Peterson
Demarco Murray
Chris Brown.

Chubb missed about the same number of games.

446 yards on 76 carries. He played behind a couple of top-5 picks that season.

College he ran all over everyone he played. Him as a freshman was the biggest reason we played Alabama so well in the championship. Try again

This is in CFB history yet people only are picking recent backfields for mostly their own team.

USC had two Heisman's in one backfield. Okie State had Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas in one backfield.

Average age on this thread must be 13.

Not even sure it's our best when you think of Trippi and Sinkwich playing together. Both players went number 1 overall in the draft, Both in the CFB hall of fame.

These running backs played for AU 9 straight seasons. In typical AU fashion they used this talent to have some bad teams and some epic teams.

Not even top 10. All those guys are good for half a season. Todd was the best I have seen when healthy but none of those guys could put a full season together after their true freshman year. Crowell didn't make it past his Freshman year either. Every good team has a durable RB, they might not be great but they can be counted on to do their job. Easier said than done but it is something you need out of a #1 back.
