Stay:
Any hotel in town. Hilton is probably the nicest. The closer to northgate and campus the better. Most of the nicer hotels are on university between Texas & HWY 6. There also some nice house rentals if you have a big group.
Last year, we were given some tickets like a day before the game. There was nothing available and we didn't want to drive back home after the game. So, we camped out at Lake Bryan for $10. (Note: It was October, so the weather was pretty nice)

I think the house I stayed at in Auburn was like 1350 a night and fit 6 people. Compared to paying like 300-350 a night for a hotel room it wasn't bad.
The house wasn't anything special but it was 10 mins from campus and I only slept there, spent the rest of my time on campus tailgating or at the bars

Umm almost everyone I know that went the Bama ATM game came into CS on gameday. Whether it was from Dallas/Austin/Houston. All traveled on in gameday.
why because CS sucks and because there are no hotels there.

You just waited too long to book then. We have 40-50 hotels in BCS.

Stay: If you can get a reservation, the new Embassy Suites hotel. It's right in downtown, across from Rounders which is a fun bar. Has a restaurant in it, vallet parking, 5-10 minutes from campus, has a newly built Reliant bank beside it, and you're walking distance from good eateries.
Eat: Plenty of great BBQ in Tuscaloosa. Dreamland a and Archibalds being two of the most recognized. Hicks bbq is a small BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere that's pretty good. If you don't want BBQ, Rama Jamas is the best burger joint in town. If not that, just hang around downtown or go on 82 and find whatever you're feeling for. The innisfree Irish pub is really nice.
Also, you have to try the Druid City Brewing Comp. and the Black Warrior Brewing Comp.. Great beers.
Party: University blvd. The Strip gets the most demand, but I love hanging downtown on a Saturday night. Willigans (sp check) is my personal favorite.
Parking: honestly, I don't know. I used to park my car at the Rite Aid on university, but it's a long arse walk.
