This one also changed, for the life of me I can't remember which one.
eta: It's called Boulevard 217. It's now a more modern bar / dance scene and less country bar.

Forgot about this one. Not a bad place to grab a drink when you want a quieter / smaller crowd.

Never seen or heard of that one. Where is it?

Frat land next to Chimys, best place to rent out for partys

Or if you really like headaches and want a fish bowl

Yeah...we're at the Hyatt in Hoover for Bama. Prolly just gonna stay in Tunica the weekend of the Ole Miss game since they haven't invented hotels in Mississippi yet (Starkville just as bad).
Looking at Knoxville now.

If you're coming to Auburn, unless you have a bunch of cash to burn, I recommend staying in Montgomery. Only a 50 minute drive on the interstate, and they don't gouge you as hard with gameday pricing.

Even with two new downtown hotels and two more under construction, it's impossible to get a room in Tuscaloosa unless you book several months in advance.

The trick is to get one of the cancellations. its a risky game, but Ive never had a problem to any game Ive been to in many SEC towns. Even in Auburn, I routinely stay in the Hotel and conference center despite it being booked years in advance.

Man I forgot about this place from my trips to Lexington, haven't been in a while. Was there a bar or something called Rose____? Rosebud, something like that?
Rosebud, it's now a hipster-ish place downtown, but has traditionally been just a college bar. Unless you're thinking of Redmon's, which is now Stagger Inn.

Unless you're staying with someone or got lucky enough to book a hotel in Oxford, your best bet is staying at the Comfort Inn in Batesville or spending the night somewhere in Memphis then driving down the next day for the game

That sucks that you have to travel on gameday. Build some damn hotels in your town.

That isn't true. Tunica is in Mississippi, and we have hotels there.

And that's a 2.5 hr drive.

How about a useful thread on the pre-season board!
+1 to that!

Yeah but at least we have hotels.

There a lot of hotels in Tuscaloosa. It's just very difficult for opposing fans to find them, unless they making travel arrangements far in advance. Plus, Birmingham-Hoover isn't exactly far away. It's a 30-40 minute drive if you're leaving early enough to beat game traffic. I usually stay there when going back for games.

I do AirBnB in places like Oxford and Auburn. Easy and not terribly expensive if you have a decent sized group

you're better off making a thread for a specific school
of which their has already been several made for each school
in conclusion thread is useless

Im looking right now for Auburn for a game and its like $1500 minimum a night with most more than that. For homes that cost less than 300k. People think they are going to get 6 months mortgage with these rates

doing Ole Miss at 'Bama and we did VRBO for a place in Downtown Northport.
Taking a few Ole Miss people. looking forward to showing them Tuscaloosa.

We're planning trips to Knoxville
Rent a cabin in Gatlinburg and make a long weekend of it. You're only about 35-40 miles from Neyland depending on where you stay.
Gatlinburg, Tennessee
