is this true?... I thought Ash had only been a coordinator for a couple seasons at Wisconsin.

And?

Ellis' defenses not so good while in the state of Mississippi.

But sure you can cherry pick the years, I know you will.

So the key hire on the staff is the TE's coach?

Technically that is what started this thread. Someone got his jimmies rustled on the coaching changes board and ran over here to get reassurances that said school had a good staff hired.

I feel like the Kanye West of the SEC rant today. I know Auburn's staff was great and all but this Arkansas staff maybe the best ever.

Yeah, let's compare a coach like Johnson that has been around forever to a coach that has only had full control of the defense for one season (as per joeyb147). Very logical. Ellis Johnson, as of now, looks to be the better hire.

But your coach is proven? What exactly has this guy done? Freeze hasnt been a HC that long. Say whatever you want but Malzahn still won a conference championship.

Freeze maybe 3/4 the way through Gus's "Hurry Up No Huddle – An Offensive Philosophy" books learning more about how to run an offense.

Arkansas and Auburn are pretty close.

Chaney, Pittman, and Shannon are all very good hires for Arkansas.

I say Arkansas because we all saw what an unproven head coach surrounded by a staff full of recruiters just did at Auburn.

this is the only answer.

I knew this thread would be just a bunch of uninformed dumbassery.

I feel like this thread needs som Charger fans and some FSU fans in here crapping on our new hires.

The UGA, Arky, and even a few MSU fans have done well in dogging their previous employees.

Well you do have Auburn fans on this board saying Malzahn is a better hire than Bielema. That makes just about as much sense.

I disagree with them, as well.

I give Arky the advantage on the Head Coach hired, and Auburn the advantage on the assistants hired.

We could at least get RockyMountainWDE in here to give it the feeling of a Miami fan.

VanGorder is gonna turn Auburn's defense around!

Scot Loeffler was groomed for the position, the offense won't miss a beat!

I don't value your opinion when it comes to assistants.
