I aint sold on the Pig Farmer at Arkansas especially after his whining episode about Meyer bringing SEC recruiting tactics to the B1G. That fat boy is in the fire now. We'll see how that works out for him.

You know, I will probably get flamed for this, but I have never really understood the infatuation with Ellis Johnson. I wasn't overly impressed with his defenses at State or South Carolina when he played them. I thought Lorenzo Ward did a much better job with the SC defense this year than Johnson had did in the previous three. Just my opinion and I know the majority won't agree with me here.

the only reason I gave Johnson the nod was experience in the SEC. Ash did very very well at wisky but the Big 10 offenses aren't exactly dynamic.

As for my Garner pick dude is a recruiting machine who isn't a bad coach at all. He's a homerun hire, if we had hired him i'd be ecstatic but I think patridge will be good as well.

He was co-DC with Charlie Partridge, who is also on our staff. Who knows what difference that will make.

Of course.

Wonder how, Dameyune Craig, J.B. Grimes, Rich Bisaccia, and Timmy Horton will handle taking orders from 30 year old Rhett during the week and on game day?

You seem worried.

1) Auburn
2) Arky
3) Tennessee

It doesn't really matter b/c if BB doesn't work out and Gus does, we'll be coming to get him.
Just like Tommy Tubberville. Face it, Auburn is a better job than Arkansas. Arkansas hasn't won shite since 1969.

If AU is such a great job, then why is our staff superior?

I find it hard to believe that anyone in this thread knows a whole lot about most of these assistants and everyone is mostly arguing from a place of ignorance.

We will find out over the next few years.

That would never happen on this board.

Ash's defenses have been better than Ellis', statistically.

is this true?... I thought Ash had only been a coordinator for a couple seasons at Wisconsin.

I'm shocked UT fans think they're on top. Other than that no surprises.

So let me get this straight

Auburn hires a coach that we passed on, yet they have a better staff?

Seems legit

So the key hire on the staff is the TE's coach?
