I will admit I've spent more time in the recruiting forum over there for a while. there are some knowledgeable posters over there and there are some complete idiots. I do agree with the other poster though that it is impossible to post anything that could slightly be seen as a negative... or anything blunt without some of those stuck up people over there down voting you by the hundreds.

That's a problem that drives me insane also, but are you talking specifically about the recruiting forum? Because I think it's far worse in MMQB.
In the MMQB forum, you should basically expect to get down-voted for anything you post, unless it's along the lines of "Arkansas is #1 and won't lose a single game this year". It doesn't have to be something negative, either. The MMQB crowd just doesn't like to up-vote, but they love to down-vote.
This is one reason I think it's mostly the younger crowd, because the Pigpen wasn't like that.

I'm talking about mmqb. I basically stopped posting in mmqb. I'll read it from time to time but I usually will only ask questions there. I quit leaving any comments because I realized that I could type anything and catch 3 smites. Richard davenport also seems to be a very knowledgeable guy and I trust his feel of recruits more than most people.

Hogville actually has the best layout i have seen on the web. The new post feature is gold. No more sifting through the post to find what you already have seen, it takes you right where you left off

I agree. there is no better format. doug and lanny have done an amazing job over there with that. also you are right with the new feature. it literally cannot get any better

TD/SEC Rant is the best layout period. Death Valley 247 for actual info. Gigem247 for laughable bathroom Intel that is usually wrong

Yea, I'm pretty much the same way. I once decided to never visit MMQB again, but then I'd find myself missing out on news, including some involving recruiting. My favorite thing about Hogville is that it's the best one-stop site for Razorback news, and since I try to limit time spent online, that's important to me.
I don't worry too much about the down-votes. They down-vote people when they're simply trying to help and I often find myself curious why they do it. Some of the best posters have more down-votes then up-votes, so it means very little to me.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Hogville site itself. It's active, user-friendly, and the admins are constantly trying to make it even better. It's in the top tier, as far as all that goes. It's the general type of person who uses the site that make people shy away.
There IS a small group of great contributors on the site, however. Fayettechill's opponent previews are maybe the best I've ever seen. And I enjoy when Mike Irwin posts his first-hand, no BS accounts of dealing with the people associated with the program. And Richard Davenport is a tireless recruiting reporter.
The problem is personalities like Doug's. He's just so stiff and humorless, and most of the site's populace are offended by everything and can't detect even the most obvious of sarcasm.

I haven't been to other teams' boards, but I'd be surprised if Texags didn't have the best layout.

/r/cfb is the best college football board anywhere.
Randy mod's there, so it automatically is the worst.

BOL is THE Bama message board, but you have to be a paying member of 24/7sports to be able to post.

UGA----dawgrant, jk..???
Our best is probably the dawgvent, but you have to pay for it. It's nothing like TD where trolls abound, it's a place where it is 99% about nothing but UGA athletics, mainly football.
247 is great but I'm not familiar with their boards, but I'm sure they're good. I just can't personally vouch.

Nice link. Saved.
As to the op, the only ones I go to are the AU team board here and AUC( AU 247 site).

Volnation. It also has a lot of features that I wish tRant had. The biggest one is being able to go directly to the last post you read instead of having to find where you were by scrolling through the thread. Also an easier way to do multiquotes.
