A decade is only ten years and I consider "growing up" to be birth until at least high school graduation. Everyone has memories of at least two decades before adulthood.

I was born in '78 and graduated high school in '97, so I was heavily influenced by both the '80s and '90s. I pretty much spent my elementary school years in the '80s and middle/high school/college years in the '90s. I'm old enough to have had a KITT big wheel, a Castle Grayskull, a bunch of Dukes of Hazard matchbox cars, and an original Nintendo - and yet I was still only 18 years old when South Park debuted in '97.

Any decade that they didn’t practice “time out” on kids and taught them the best way, “if you do that you are gonna get an arse beating you will remember for the rest of your life!”

The Beatles, original James Bond and Jonny Quest. It was a great time to be a kid.

Born in 72, so 1/2 70's and 1/2 80's.
80s were best, and people saying 90's don't understand that it was just a pale comparison to the 80's. you need a little bit of hard times (growing up with the cold war) to strengthen a person. the 90's peace dividend from the post ww2 era to end of the cold war softened the 90's babes so badly they are the horrible parents of today's teens.
/old man rant over.
