I think you might be confused. The "Mississippi River area" of Louisiana is most all of the southeastern portion of the state. That's where all of the talent is at to begin with. Now, the Louisiana Delta area below New Orleans, as it pertains to places like Cocodrie, Port Fourchon, or Venice would be my guess, just because of the simple fact that there's little population, relative to places further north of there.

That's why you're a fricking moron. You know nothing.

What about northeast Alabama? Not counting gadsden, but every other area, ft. Payne, guntersville, scottsboro, have not produced much.

For its size, Huntsville has not produced its fair share.

What players from Natchez or Vicksburg have played in the SEC recently? Just curious.

Steven Ridley at LSU and an OL at State who's name escapes my mind. In the early 2000's Marco Minor and Clarence Parker played at State. Down in Centerville in Wilkinson County y'all had Will Arnold and State just signed James Maiden and Devin Fossleman from Wilkinson co HS. Jadice Moore from Port Gibson played at state and we have a current commitment from a Port Gibson kid. There have been a few from Vicksburg such as Michael Myers who played at Bama the 3 Morgan boys who played at State a punter who played at state, and on and on

Instead of empty insults, Please enlighten me to how any of the extreme southeastern Louisiana areas compare to places north of there, in terms of producing talent.

And some of your fellow LSU fans have thrown out the idea that this area isn't as talent laden as other areas of Louisiana, but like clockwork you attack "the bammer" for being a "fricking moron". I've spent enough time in this part of Louisiana to know how sparce the population is. Numbers alone suggest the talent wouldn't be as thick as other places.

North LA along I-20 is probably the best. Lafayette is good too. Central LA is by far the worst..

Only Patrick is from northeast Alabama from your list. Athens is not Huntsville. Russellville is northwest AL.

to recruit football talent.

Best - a few miles either side of the I55 corridor. 2nd best - Highway 90 corridor.

Worst - West part of the state specifically the Delta.

I think NE Mississippi other than Tupelo most of those schools don't produce much talent plus basketball is usually more popular.

I went to school in the Delta. My Senior year our football team was really good. Went to State only to lose to Greene County. But we had a running back that was being looked at by a lot of schools at the time. Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis, Alabama, and a few other big programs. He was a pretty good running back. But he never amounted to anything. His grades were terrible, and the education system in the Delta is TERRIBLE!!! But he is the only one that I remember knowing in the Cleveland area that was actually any good.

Now back in the 90s you had Ken Lucas and Porkchop Womack out of Cleveland. Those two were badass at their respective schools (Ole Miss and Mississippi State)

We don't have any good places to recruit in Louisiana. I'm told the same thing goes for Texas.

Warn your team's recruiting coordinator fast before he wastes his time coming over here!

Don't forget Dorsett Davis, Toby Golliday, Michael Fair, the Thompson twins, Michael Spurlock, Darron Williams, Marriott Haggan etc.,,

Jackie Sherrill recruited the Delta really good

He could have been so much better at Ole Miss if used correctly.

As far as Georgia, I can't really say what the worst part of the state is as far as production of talent. I would say southwest Georgia. I'm not familiar with the northern and eastern parts of the state so others will have be more informative.

Ole Miss got a kid out of Albany, GA in 2008. Jason Jones. Came from a little small no name school. He is now a pretty decent DE for us. But yeah, SW Georgia doesn't produce much big talent as far as recruiting goes.

Should have played baseball. I traveled up to Indianola when he was a Senior. Madison Central won the game like 56 - 49 or something like that. He was 80% of their offense.

Oh I agree 100%. I was actually going to type that, but thought I was the only one who knew he was good at baseball. He played in a summer high school league with my brother. He was a straight up athlete.

Brent Calloway is from a county that touches Mississippi. I don't think that qualifies as northeast. Also Tana Patrick and William Ming are busts.
