Nice research

Taking 14 points off the board from picks still results in giving up 28 points.

Is that better?

Or is your next reply going to be about special teams doesn't count either?

Brilliant

That's great, on paper.....but his defense also...

in 2014
30 points to LSU
30 points to Kentucky
42 points to Alabama
42 points to Missouri

in 2013
36 points to Missouri
34 points to Vanderbilt
37 points to Florida State
26 points to Georgia Southern

No defense can overcome a three-and-out every 4 out of 5 offensive series. Offense was definitely the issue at Florida.

I actually think this is a really good hire for the hogs. He has a good track record with QB's which fits exactly what they need. CMU made a bowl game last 2 out of 3 years which is probably more than most coaches could get out of that program. Good under-the-radar hire

Idk why y'all keep biting

No one knows if it's a good or bad hire. At bare minimum y'all can at least move forward now that you have your guy.

So special teams count for his defense, huh?

So how does one overcome a 0:30 offensive possession?

I agree. Chaney has hung his hat on the Drew Brees wagon for far too long. He wasn't very good with QB's at TN and he was okay with Allen here.

Agree again. The points they put up in such a short amount of time against WKU in the Bahama Bowl was impressive just a few weeks ago.

Better programs would be melting over a hire like this.
If you're looking to run a pro style offense, why would you melt over this hire? Seems to me you just don't know much about football outside of Texas.
