Unless this basketball scandal turns up the dirt it's supposed to. His buyout gets cut in half if their AD resigns.

SC has been historically not much of a threat, no knock on them meant here, but they are not a team he is going to run from

And he does not have AU now, going LSU puts them on the schedule - so wut?

Louisville looks good this year so far, but I can't imagine anyone running from them either...

Bama is his alma mater, Clemson is a pretty good situation - I'd be very surprised if he'd leave for anywhere except to come home

He goes to LSU, rides out the Saban tidal wave, and then leaves LSU for Bama to start the cycle anew.

Best, Saban.

Next choice of who you posted, Petrino.

Calhoun (Air Force)

Also a very good coach. I think he would do well at LSU.

Leach seems an obvious fit, but you'd give up the defense that is a huge part of your identity.

The three on this list I would hate to see y'all have are

Herman
Petrino
Mike Leach

So those should be the ones you target. Mike leach with 4 and 5 star players would possibly be my worst nightmare as an A&M fan. We had no answer for him when he was pulling 3* and the occasional 4 in Lubbock.

Dabo doesn't scare me at all, he can recruit his arse off and establish a stable program, but he can't coach for shite. He'd be worse than Les.

In a vacuum where anything could happen

Petrino
Leach
Chip Kelly
Kingsbury

Offensive minds who take sub par talent and still put points on the board. Ppl say their defenses suck, but how much of that has to do with the lack of talent on that side of the ball as well?

On offense you can do things to shore up deficiencies to manufacture points. Defensively if you have a 2 star db vs a 5 star wr youre screwed.

Dabo (Clemson)

Like he woiuld leave a top 2 job in the ACC to come get his shite pushed in by Saban on a yearly basis and get canned for "just" winning 10 games.

He's got a great gig at Clemson, and he owns that state now that the HBC is gone and Boom is derping away in Columbia.

Herman if you can get him. Sure Bobby is probably the greatest offensive mind ever but he's a real prick and hates recruiting.

Id want to see a bigger sample size for a guy like Herman. Not saying he's not a good coach but right now that OU win isnt looking like the feat we thought it was a few weeks ago.

A phenom assistant/coordinator who's not at the top of the national spotlight list.

I don't have anyone particular in mind ... but someone young, fiery, and over-the-moon giddy to be in Baton Rouge.
If I'm an LSU fan, I don't trust the coach du jour (look at the crop of SEC coaching hires from the past few years who were supposed to be "sure things"); I want the young coaching whiz (maybe a former player?) who catches everyone else flat-footed.

That's the guy--as an opposing fan--who scares me.
