re: Because of Treadwell, are we not allowed to poke fun at OM?

It is amazing to me that we had to listen to Ole Miss fans (including some of your colleagues in this thread) talk shite for weeks, and now you want sympathy. Not ONE Ole Miss poster here acknowledged the impact of losing our starting senior center in the UM/Bama game. Just boasting and talk about how butthurt we are and how Ole Miss is winning it all.
I don't intend to pour it on, because I'm not wired that way. But when we hear all the crap for weeks, don't expect everyone to show respect and admiration when something bad happens to you.

I'm thinking neither you nor I have a clue as to whether he would have fumbled without the injury. Either way, you're just grasping at straws to try and make people not laugh at Ole Miss and making OM somehow immune to being mocked and pulling out this stupid white knight bullshite. No one is laughing at Treadwell, that's well established.
He did get hurt. Which is awful and brought me and every other sane human no joy whatsoever. I feel terrible for him and wish him the best. He did fumble into the endzone to lose the game for Ole Miss which is awesome and brought me great joy. I'm able to separate the two.

Wrong. Every thread that popped up about "Why did Bama stop running on Ole Miss" myself and a few other Ole Miss fans stated that it's because we made adjustments and because y'all's starting center was out.

You scored a TD with 12 men on the field. You lose a little more than 5 yards.

I do admit that you and maybe one other Ole Miss fan acknowledge this some time later when the excitement had died down.

OK - let's assume he wouldn't have fumbled had he not hurt his leg, which obviously isn't a forgone conclusion. Can we not make fun of Ole Miss for choking? Just trying to make sure I don't provoke any more little Rebel tears.

No, we didn't. Not unless there is another play I don't know about. The play I saw was a 1st and 10 around Ole Miss' 35 yard line. We gained about 10 or 11 yards on the play and got another first down. If they called the penalty for 12 men, it would have been 1st and 15.

Maybe if your coach was paying more attention he would have reviewed it
It's just as much on him and his staff as it is on the refs

If his leg doesn't get snapped like that OM wins
i guess they had no chance huh

True. And if your boosters took care of the refs the way ours do, Ole Miss would have gotten that call. So I blame your boosters.

Ok, let's say he keeps the ball and doesn't get hurt and scores a TD. That leaves Auburns offense with 1:30 to go and 3 timeouts, ya that's definitely insurmountable

Unless you are a poster I read a a lot or know you in IRL, I just assume all posters are idiot trolls. It's a message board. Opinions of people I do not know do not bother me especially those from lsu fans. I could give two shits what the tiger rant thinks. The OP asked why OM fans are jumping on people who are mocking them after the loss. I relied because if a terrible injury doesn't happen, OM wins. Of course no one knows that for sure. That's an educated assumption based on treadwells foot was on the goaline and ball 3 inches from the plane. . That and the fact AU needed 3 guys to bring him down all game and he the man doesn't fumble. You're right though, I cannot be 100% we win if he doesn't break his leg. I'm sure you have never posted anything like "we would have won if" or "we would have gotten this player if" on Thai board. And I'm trying my best to not go down that road. I've already said that I give AU credit for causing the two fumbles inside the 5. Great teams create their own luck. I was just answering the OP's question. Every fan base on here would be acting the same way if they lost a game like that.

I haven't watched the play of Treadwell getting hurt, but has anyone done it in slow motion to see if he fumbled after his ankle snapped or right before/during it?
Just curious because everything happens so fast in those instances and the time it takes between the injury, the pain to actually register, and the fumble. it's possible he would have fumbled either way
I ask because I've been injured in football before, and due to adrenaline it takes a few seconds for the pain to really hit you. There's a period of the injury and a blurred "numbness" then it hits you what's going on and then you feel the actual pain.

Very true. Like I said, I just answered the OP's question. It doesn't guarantee we win. We are just sore about how we lost, as anyone else would be

The picture on the front page of an Alabama paper has him with the ball securely in his hand and his ankle bent at a 90 degree angle

Sorry he got hurt, but football is a violent game.
Don't want to take the chance of getting hurt, don't play.
Sorry it happened to him and wish him a full recovery, but FRICK OLE MISS regardless.

Very true, I'm not trying to rub salt in or anything, that was a tough way to lose. Just saying that wouldn't have guaranteed victory. I feel for guys, y'all fought hard, hope Treadwell makes a fast and full recovery
