So I guess Wilson is going to forget everything he learned, as well the rest of the offensive players. And I guess no one in America except Petrino can draw up offensive plays with any effectiveness. shite, we're frickED!

This is your best line of thinking

It will definitely allow you to get some sleep, until the games are actually played that is

pretty much. you're a 6-8 win team without petrino. maybe worse if the players get frustrated and quit.

if paul petrino is kept the offense wont' skip a beat this year. it's not this year i'm worried about.

i think hiring a coach now is 10000% the wrong move. what's the point of going through spring ball if you are going to install a new offense in the fall?

keep the coaching staff in tact, keep petrino as OC, he actually does call plays in game and he's pretty good at it.

but he doesn't develop the qB's that's bobby petrino. but for this year if the staff is in tact we will be fine and BCS is very possible.`

Think back to the Ark-A&M game from last season when Arkansas went into halftime down 35-17, the week after Arkansas ran into a buzzsaw @ Bama. Tyler Wilson put the team on his shoulders, threw for over 500 yards, and brought his team back and won. OC Garrick McGee said Wilson "willed his team to win." When a reporter asked Wilson about that quote from McGee, Wilson responded "I think I just don't like to lose. Maybe you can see the competitiveness in my eyes, and the ship's not going down." As we know now, this game turned the tide for Arkansas as Wilson went on to lead his team to 11 wins, a bowl victory, and All-SEC honors.

Bobby is the one who noticed what the A&M MLB was doing and is the one that called the plays attacking him. Not Tyler and not Garrick. Sure Tyler had to.complete the passed but that eye for detail is what we are going to miss.

I'm for this, as long as he didn't help Bobby cover anything up.

Not sure. I know that they have probably figured out that the only way they will compete is by throwing it all over the field. They have to go after someone in the Leach/ BP mold. Sure is a terrible time to find a head coach too. Not many out there waiting to get picked up.

I agree that Wilson and Davis are two of the best at their respective positions, but that doesn't make up for the loss of the leader of your team. Petrino was an above average coach that got the most from average talent.
You also can't forget the kind of damage this can do to a team's psyche.

This is a big loss for the Hogs and it will show on the field. tOSU was still the most talented team in the big ten and they went 6-7 after firing Tressel.
You have worse talent and play in a tougher league.

Yeah, first year coaches at Arkansas are never able to beat teams like LSU. Oh wait, both Nutt and Petrino beat LSU in their first seasons as Arkansas' head coach.

Well if you hired Les you might get a sniff at some bowl wins (SEC championships etc), Nutt, not so much but you know this man.

and this is why i am really pissed off at petrino.;

becuase any other year, you go out and hire a new coach, try to save the recruits get the learning process over as fast as possible. but this isn't any other year. we are fvcking loaded on offense this year. this is the fvcking year.

so now you have to make a real big boy decision. blow it all up right now and start over, or keep this staff in place, who most likely won't be here at the end of the year and have them not recruit all year and have a shitty 2013 class.

even worse, our 2nd string QB or 3rd string depending on who you listen to and the guy who is pegged to be the starter by a lot next year, his dad is the coach. what if he gets the boot/ he isn't going to make it to his 3rd regime (unless he can deliever the other son on a silver platter lol)

he really bent the program over and put them ovedr a barrell with this shite. win this year and fvck up 2013 and beyond. hire a coach now and fvck this year up learning a new offense.

great fvcking job.

At this point, who's going to be starting for Arkansas in 2014 is not a relatively big concern.
