the Poll tomorrow will certainly be:

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas
4. Oklahoma St (probably)
5. VT

if that happens, then the BCS standings almost certainly will be:

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Oklahoma St
4. Arkansas
5. ??

As an aside, this should say everything anyone needs to know about the SEC West. Wow. Never thought I would see this.

False. OSU is already out of the picture. Their loss to Iowa State is a major blow to their chances. They also still have to play Oklahoma which could put them at 2 loses for the season.

I don't know how the math works, but isn't it possible that voters will look at OSU, on the road after that horrible tragedy and give them the benefit of the doubt?

I feel like its a toss up between Arky and OSU. One got blown out by the tide. The other lost a close game to an inferior team after an emotionally draining week.

LSu aint a lock for anything. If they drop the next 2 it might be Bama and OSU or Arky.

How would LSU drop to #3? You think they will put Alabama at #1 after they already lost to LSU?
Arkansas has hit the celing. They will be static from here on out. The only way they can play for the National Championship will be if Bama loses to Auburn and they Beat LSU. This would put Arkansas in the SEC championship and ultimitally the National Championship if they beat Georgia.

Yeah, but the winner of LSU/Arkansas still has to beat Georgia in Atlanta.

Alabama will just wait for them.

If Arkansas beats LSU, Bama goes to the SEC title game.

If LSu loses there will be no two losses for them. Bama goes to sec cg and we get to whine about going to the sec cg and having to play LSU again in the NC game.

Bama has the easiest road to the Nat'l Title game at this point. Sorry LSU. The other conferences shouldn't be so shitty and lose all the time.

assuming nobody trips up against Georgia.

I think it will be Alabama. If Bama wins the Iron Bowl they will be the #2 because they beat Arkansas earlier in the season. I think regardless if LSU loses to Arkansas they will still be in the SEC Championship game and get the #1 ranking with Bama holding the #2. Kind of like in 2007 when LSU lost to arkansas and still played for the SEC championship and the National Championship.

So let me get this straight:

LSU #1
Bama #2
Ark #3

you say that if Ark beats LSU then LSU would remain #1, bama would remain #2, and Ark would still be stuck at #3? That make about as much sense as a football bat.

And ya'll call us delusional.

If Arkansas wins = Arkansas vs Alabama MNC

If LSU wins = LSU/Alabama MNC

Alabama goes no matter what

*assuming nobody loses to GA.

OK, if Arkansas beats LSU, then Alabama loses to Georgia in the title game, then who goes to the Sugar Bowl?

Way I see it is the game on Friday is a BCSNCG play-in game.

At least it looks that way, I maybe wrong.

The odds of LSU losing to either Arkansas or Georgia are a hell of a lot higher that Bama losing to Auburn. Sorry LSU is getting fricked in this deal and has to play an extra game, but everybody keeps losing. Not sure why all the Tigers are pissed, they have a chance at going down as the greatest college football team of all time(by strenght of schedule standards).

Not true yet. If Oklahoma beats Oklahoma St, you will be correct. I know most people think that a loss right now eliminates Oklahoma St.. but after what took place this weekend it's no longer true. They fall no further than #5, most likely #4, outside shot at #3.
