It would be close I think but Alabama getting another game against GA could boost them ahead of LSU even though they lost to them.

If Alabama is playing in Atlanta that means Alabama already passed LSU as did Arkansas.

A #4 ranked 1-loss team with their next game against a top-10 opponent is never out of it.
they are when the team ahead of them has 1 game left on the schedule is against the number 1 team in the country. the only way they could pass us is if we slip up. there is no possible way to jump us if we beat the number 1 team in the country on the road.

No way they jump up to 1 or 2.

Realistically they could, there's a lot of time between now and the final polls. They also lost during the week of a tragedy.. I mean, that's an emotional week for them and alot of the voters are bleeding hearts who love a come-back story.

Yes..it appears that barring Arkansas throttling LSU, LSU will win the 3-way tiebreaker.

The ONLY way LSU couldn't win the three-way tiebreaker if practically all human voters put LSU at 3, which won't happen if it's a close game.

You may be right. Either way, Bama just needs to manhandle Auburn and we are good . . . I hope.

Oh absolutely I agree. I'm looking at it from an LSU beating Arkansas perspective.

Man, really?

There needs to be some kind of test to qualify for posting.

Yeah I mean im assuming Bama wins the Iron bowl and things so I guess they could if hell broke loose but I just don't see it happening.

Plus, Emotional week or not, LSU and Bama would totally skullfrick OSU. They are not that good.

I agree with this or not. But if they can pull out a win over a top-10 Oklahoma team right before voting.. that loss can be forgiven. I'm not saying that it will be forgiven.. but it certainly could.

It all depends on the human element (the emotional element) because they have an advantage in the computers over everyone outside of LSU.

I dont see an OSU team who has 1 loss to Iowa State jumping an Alabama team who has 1 loss to LSU.

That just isn't going to happen.

they will be ahead of Bama in every computer ranking, without a doubt.. they will only some #2 votes to come their way.

It more or less happened in 2006. Humans are emotional creatures.. and you just never know how they'll vote exactly. Lots of voters won't want a rematch, especially the west coast voters (and there are a ton of them).

Ugh that's just proof that a playoff system is needed. Emotions are involved.

they can if one of the teams is playing for the national champ game int he same conference that isn't in the conference champion which would be the case in that secenerio

it's the only way you can have 3 teams from the same conference in the BCS

It's impossible. The only way three could get in is if neither team playing in the title game was the conference champion. This is the way the rule is written:

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final B.C.S. Standings.

Maybe King Obama will make an executive decision to vanquish the BCS.
