What could Gary say? I fell apart at Baylor, so I'm better? Do a bit of research on Gary and you won't see much class. Good coach, though.

Baylor and Ohio St. both came out of weak conferences, the difference was in the non-conference schedules.

Ohio State:
@Navy - W 6-5 - Headed to Bowl (probably 7-5 after next weekend)
Virginia Tech - L 6-6 - Headed to Bowl, Power 5 Conference Member
Kent State - W 2-7 - No Bowl
Cincinnati - W 9-3 - Headed to bowl, Conference Champions (of the same conference that beat Baylor's arse in their bowl game last year I might add)

Baylor:
SMU - W 1-11 (possibly worst team in FBS football)
Northwestern St. - W FCS LOL
@Buffalo - W 5-6 - No Bowl, But to hear your coach talk about this game it was basically like beating Bama on the road, right?

Everyone expects coaches to lobby for their team- that is part of their job. But if you think Saban in '11 is exactly like Briles in '14 you are a fricking moron.

I was actually on Briles' side at first, but calling Bowlsby out publicly like that is just busch league. Regardless of the 'one true champion' nonsense, everyone knew how the Big12 picked their conference champs going into the season. The commish is a pawn to the member schools- Bowlsby didn't dream up their fricked up system himself like Briles would have you believe. If the various Big12 members request to eliminate the 'co-champions' I'm sure they would get that. Waiting until after the season to make this extremely public and damaging complaint makes Briles look an a-hole. In his silence until the end of the season, he was complicit in their system. All that said, I have found the whole thing hilarious to observe.

They have a small point in that everyone had MSU in if they had simply not lost to Bama...yet they played no one OOC either.

Im not so sure OOC is what left Baylor out.

I think name is ultimately what left TCU and Baylor out. tOSU is simply a much bigger name and national brand.

SEC teams have all the resume building match-ups they need built into their in their annual conference slate.

The Big 10 and Big 12 are both weak right now. OSU made sure to schedule enough good OOC games to make up for it. Baylor didn't.

So where did Saban vote Okie St at the end of the 2011 reg season?

FWIW, I don't blame Saban a bit for fighting for his team. I blame Gundy for not fighting for his. He had a better argiument than Saban but sat on his hands. Biggest pussy in the history of football.

Good OOC like Va Tech who lost in OT to Wake 6-3?

Mississippi State played Kentucky and Vandy to go along with UAB (allowed 34 points), South Alabama, USM, and UT Martin. Their division mates, Arky, had to play UGA and Mizzou from the other side. Not much resume building for State, although they looked good early.

Which is a better OOC schedule?

Cincinnati (9-3), Navy (7-5), Virginia Tech (6-6), and Kent State (2-9)

OR

SMU (1-11), Northwestern State (FCS 6-6), and Buffalo (5-6)

Then again, what do you expect from the least-knowledgeable fanbase in any sport?

There's a reason that Baylor is 1/3 the education for 3x the cost.

LOL, Aggie. Laid down and refused to play vs Alabama. For all the money and talent in the world, Aggie still can't be more than a Johnny one note. Ya'll really should be able to do better.

The best player in your history went 1-2 vs. Mike Sherman.

Sherman's only 2+ score comeback? Trailed Baylor 30-14. Won 42-30 in Waco.

Robert Griffin's one appearance at Kyle Field? 55-28 loss the year he won the Heisman.

Go back to the corner and color, bitch.

It's not Briles' message... I respect him for fighting for his guys. It's his delivery. Like it or not, there is an astute way to voice displeasure over this. It's by making the interviewer make the case for you and you not looking like a guy who is throwing a tantrum.

From day one, we knew at least one team was going to get left out to dry. 5 power conferences and only 4 spots. As it happens, the mismanagement of the BigXII is what did them in.

I wish Baylor had hired me to squire for them as a PR director... I could have cut their expenditures in half and delivered the same result.

Patterson at TCU has utilized the media in voicing his displeasure.
Briles went full on attack dog mode.

Lastly, TCU had no chance. Baylor beat em straight up, and should have had the full backing from their league yet did not. Enter "Co Champions".

In the end, this is more a case against the leadership of that conference than eanything else.

We will and we will be watching an overrated Big Ten team completely shut down the "one true champion", just like an AAC school ran roughshod over the "one true champion" last year.

Your hatred for Baylor is funny.

It is even better to watch you defend your school cowardliness and running from UT in a bowl game.

but I'm sure its all UT's fault. right?

Wat? McCaw said last Monday we are in talks with other P5 schools to schedule for OOC in the future. This year OOC were scheduled when we were desperately trying to get back to 6-6 and a bowl game.

Our OOC schedule basically gambles that we go 12-0 and if we don't we know we won't be in the best position. McCaw has said all along we will re-evaluate future OOC schedule depending how the committee views OOC schedules after this season.

Clearly that's why you scheduled Incarnate Word this year for the 2019 season.

and if I went 1-2 vs. Mike Sherman with the greatest player in my school's history, I'd probably want to STFU.
