The problem with being as successful and legendary as Alabama means that we have an influx of bandwagon/sidewalk fans. Harvey Updyke is the perfect example of that. The dude has no affiliation with the university or even the state of Alabama. And yet, he's the guy everyone uses as the "poster child" of the typical Bama fan?

I know he is not affiliated with or paid by the University, but he is paid to discuss LSU athletics for a living. He is all that is wrong with today's society. Nothing is my fault. There is always someone holding me back or doing me wrong.

No I don't ever recall a Bama sports talk host ever harassing an old lady because they believed the SEC was intentionally helping another team win games.

There was the 2008 loss to Bama where an LSU fan and either wife or girlfriend got into an argument with a Bama fan, which started with a verbal exchange on the phone and ended with the LSU fans driving to the Bama fans house, starting a fight and then pulling a gun to attempt to kill/threaten the Bama fan.

Only the Bama fan got to his gun faster and killed the LSU fans.

Whole thing is disturbing, but true, full-on crazy arse fanaticism is in every fan base.

We all have the jerry springer-esque fans. I'm not sold that one has more than the other. It's just what gets publicized and what doesn't that goes along with the level of exposure your team gets.

Every big state school has this issue. Yet, Bama fans have no problem using the dumbest of the fanbase to define the entirety for other fans but get all mad when other fanbases do the same to them.

Bama fanbase= biggest privledged white kids on the block. Must be easy winning when you don't get holding calls. 3 on one play? Must've been the only way to score.

You conveniently forget a triple murder at an LSU viewing party last year.

All you people are fricking trash.

ETA - except DBU. He's a closet Gump.

Accusing good men of being corrupt just because LSU fans can't handle losing to Bama is shitty. It is ignorant to believe this conspiracy. Thinking this conspiracy is anything but in the heads of weak minded LSU fans, but to believe that moving the offices would stop corruption is beyond ignorant it is flat out stupid.

I don't get mad as I have spent lots of time and/or lived in most every SEC state outside of arky/texas.

I think it's funny. Most every insult hurled is the pot calling the kettle black. The nation has stereotyped the South and it's love for CFB. And, that perspective doesn't really distinguish between redneck, sister/cousin fricking, toothless, uneducated, crazies from Alabama, Cajun country, Athens, knoxville, etc. Vandy fans may get a bye.

It really isn't worth getting mad, but sometimes I can't help but educate the few that apparently don't own a mirror.

I bet you're so proud of the tree killers, murderers(murder is ok in bama if someone isn't mad enough about losing), felony assaulters. Makes you real proud I bet. And lets add criminal tresspassing to the list.

Oh, let's not forget the sweet southern belle who jumped Oklahoma fans in the stands for no other reason than her precious team was getting humiliated.....fine woman, huh?

No harm, no foul with the phone call. Too bad you can't say that about your inbred criminals

This is just sad. This guy is the "King of LSU Tiger sports talk"? Did someone just get some random fan and give them a talk show?

Apparently the LSU fanbase is filled with delusion from top to bottom.

What is funny is that the person who made the decision to move the offices to Birmingham was an LSU man who was in charge of the SEC back then. He thought a central location would ease traveling for some of the schools that are farther away. So you ignorant fools believe the refs are corrupted? And then you ignorant fools think moving the offices out of Birmingham will fix this? You do realize a person can wire money to and from anywhere in the world.

As opposed to a bama fan showing his junk at a burger joint in the Quarter, getting arrested, convicted, and is now a convicted sex criminal. Or the one bama fan who shot another. Or the bama fan who destroyed historical trees, at a cost of several thousands of dollars, on an opponent's campus. Yea, a phone call is bad in comparison.
