Basketball: Does Your Fanbase Expect to Make the Tourney this Year?

It seems like almost every SEC fanbase is bullish about the direction of their basketball program, but how many of you expect your team to make the tournament this season?

I don't think it's unreasonable to think we get some additional teams in the tournament this season with the influx of talent after significant coaching changes the last few years. Those coaching changes should be coming to fruition this season.
That said, until everyone can beat quality teams in the early season OOC it's not going to matter much. It's this conference's biggest weakness right now and we can't change the court of public opinion until that happens.

It would take a really massive and bizarre cluster of injuries or something like that to be able to accept not making the tourney this season,

Yep. I don't really buy that conference winning helps programs much in football because the SEC is already established in football, but in basketball it's vital. Teams have started scheduling much better, but the wins haven't come yet.

A lot of Auburn fans have told me NIT which surprised me. The team definitely has tournament level talent imo, but I seem a lot more optimistic (or pessimistic since I'm a Bama fan) about AU basketball this year than most my Auburn friends.

Barnes must make it this year or next or get fired. He has had us IN on bracketology heading in to February the last 2 years only to collapse big time down the stretch both years.
No NCAA or NIT this year he may get the axe.
