Based purely on their resume who was the worse hiring

Muschamp at South Caroina or Chizik at Auburn? The 5-19 coach.
These have got to be the 2 most ridiculous hirings based on the way their resume read at the time they were hired.
Hugh Freeze also had a pretty ridiculously unqualified resume at the time Ole Miss hired him. Although he's turned out to do pretty well. Not sure if his resume was as bad as Muschamp and Chizik's but it wasn't a whole lot better.
And for the sake of this exercise only take into account Chiz's 5-19 record at ISU and Muschamp's stint at UF. Do not take into account Chiz's NC because nobody knew he would accomplish that when he was hired. You also can not take into account his 3-9 season at Auburn since nobody realized that would happen either.

I was referring to the resume before they got hired.
Not sure if I made it perfectly clear but don't consider how they actually did after being hired.

I agree 100% that the national title still counts on Chiz's resume no matter how much of an anomaly it was.
But I was referring to his resume coming into Auburn. Before he ever coached a game at Auburn.

Well the 5-19 was at ISU and the 28-22 was at UF. Right after Urban Meyer.

Chizik. At least Muschamp has proven he can recruit and run a defense. He just needs to stay at least 25 ft away from his own qbs and let an OC handle the offense.

Chizik was downright awful at Iowa State while Muschamp at least had one good season at Florida. If Auburn hadn't hired Chizik, he was probably one more 2-10 season away from being fired.
