I'm not sure the SEC Rant is prepared for such a baseball match up. GET READY, SONS! IT IS HAPPENING!

Prediction: LSU takes 2 of 3 at home in a great battle!

How are the Aggie fans feeling? Anyone coming down for the series?

Not optimistic. Our defense and pitching was abysmal last week, and many of us are concerned that we are finally showing the true ability of a pitching staff that is really suffering from season-ending injuries to our two best pitchers. Add to that playing on the road, and having so much on the line, and a team that has never really been in this position, and there are good reasons not to be optimistic.

While I don't think we're good enough to sustain a place at the very top of the college baseball world, and I expect we'll drop the series this weekend, I do think we'll get a top 8 seed and stand a good chance to get to the CWS, even if I don't think we can win it.

If i was an Aggie i would feel a little more optimistic because we will have to shuffle around our pitching staff due to how last week played out. Lange will be starting on Friday, one day shy of a full week's rest. I wouldnt be surprised if they took Thursday's game, we take Friday and Saturday is a toss up for the rubber game.

no rain today

rain thursday-saturday

no rain sunday

COME ON BASEBALL AND WEATHER GODS!!! Fricking hell!!!!!

Hugh: I'm surprised as hell how good y'all are this year. Even if you had your two original starters, what were fans expecting preseason. I follow baseball a little, and I didn't realize y'all would be this good this season.

As long as we don't get swept I'll be happy. I wouldn't be surprised if the bayou bengals swept us though

I think people who followed the team closely were mostly cautiously optimistic, but nobody expected this - especially after losing Stubblefield and then Minter for the season.

LSU is on a pretty good roll. 12-1 in last 13 but momentum is only good as the next days pitcher. See the 1 loss, shut down by Keegan Thompson.

I like our chances. I dont think the rotation shuffle will matter at all. Poche has been on form his last two starts.

It's going to be a great series. Aggie bats will really test our pitching. We need Lange and Poche to both have long outings.

I'm predicting LSU takes 2 out of 3, but could see it going the other way also. No matter what it will be fun hard fought games and I'm ready to be at the Box.

Only Aggie fans would blame last weekend on losing 2 pitchers preseason. Newsflash, we are 40 games in, preseason injuries don't matter

LSU in a route, Aggies got their spirit broken

That is ridiculous.

We don't have elite #2 or #3 and our #1 throws too many damn pitches, but we still have enoguh to win any series with as good as our bats can be.

Absolutely this. I'm so sick of having shortened and postponed or cancelled games. We've already had three straight series where the weather has played a significant role I believe.
