I predict Aggies up by a couple of runs going into the ninth and then Chavis loses it for them.
ETA - Speaking of, think we can get Chavis to throw out the first pitch? It's been a while since I put my piss balloon machine to use.

LSU will take the series fairly easily.
A&M is not quite ready for prime time ... not just yet. They are going to be a force to reckon with in the future though.

This is baseball. If Arkansas or Kentucky can take a series from A&M or LSU then either A&M or LSU can take 2/3 or even 3/3 from each other.

I think that A&M takes 2 out of 3 and LSU fans wonder what happened.
And, the answer will be "nothing" It is baseball and they are both very good teams and things happen. LSU is due to lose a series and A&M struggled last week. When two teams are really good, I always give the advantage to the team coming off a loss because their focus and motivation tends to be higher.
And, for whoever wins this series, it will mean nothing in relation to the post season.

I agree.
I think LSU will win the series mainly because of the depth of pitching. Both teams are pretty even at hitting. Team is seemingly back on track in the pen and Poche has looked really good the last couple of outings.

I mean another one.
We have been on quite a roll. I would not be surprised if we struggle this weekend, and I don't think that it will necessarily be because A&M is better.
I hope I am wrong. I hope that we sweep them. I just look at the whole season instead of individual weekends.

Im not following how LSU is "due" to lose a series.

Agree to disagree on due to lose a series. This team has very few weaknesses so when one falters, others come back to pick it up. Kentucky series could even be considered an anomaly given they played 38 fricking innings. This is not a team I would consider "due" to lose any games because they are that good.

Plus our 3rd starter is different than UK and looks like he's going to be much improved over Godfrey.

i disagree that this series has little affect on post season. Both teams only need to win a certain amount of games left on the schedule before they are locks for a national seed. getting two and possibly three would be huge for either team securing that spot.

It definitely has an affect but im guessing whoever said that just meant it's not the end of the world for whoever loses it (which is quite the captain obvious statement).

I honestly will not be surprised with any outcome this weekend. The least likely scenario is an A&M sweep because they have lost every Saturday game in conference it seems.
They didn't bounce back like i'd have liked against UTA. I'm increasingly worried that the saturday/sunday game broke something.
but i'll talk crap incessantly afterwards if A&M wins.
